@ nonXero -> Wicked tune! Doesn't need a whole lot! Sounds good as it is really and I love the synth in it

@ mr hello -> Really mellow tune, Its something I can see myself walking down the street listening to on a foggy day or something. If you wanted you could add some low velocity whoosh sounds, like uprising timestretched airflow/windy sound? I don't know. I'm new to this whole music thing so don't take anything i say too seriously. It works well as it is man.

@ Steeple -> It needs a bit of work, I really like the backround noises in the off beat, and the direction the track goes at 1:50ish changes the atmosphere nicely

Now uhhhh.... here's the joke I've been working on... lol. I took the samples from the movie "it", from Pennywise the Clown, a child murdering evil monster clown. The lead that starts at around 20 seconds is really dissonant and jarring, and to be honest I don't like the sounds in the intro very much so I might be editing those a lot. The track cuts short just shy of the drop I was going to make, and I still need to equalize most of the sounds.

To be perfectly honest, I was literally picking out sounds at random, editing them, and this is the result of those shenanigans. Let me know what you think though :P t0x out :r:

My first ever finished track. Wondering if it needs a bit more... I forgot to put hi Hats in near the end but it makes the outro sound kind of better? Would like feedback

@TOX1K Haha sick man, love the downsweep at the start. Sounds work well together. Catchy riff. IT, one of my favourite books and movies, sick :)

@mr hello Yeah man this is chill! I love chill! :D I agree with TOX1K that some woosh sounds would add that something extra to it!

@cubicle Thanks for the feedback man. Feels good that you like my stuff, being new to the game and that :D Least I know I'm on the right track!
Loving yours, not so sure on how muddy the drums are at the start, seems weird to me. After that tho, it sounds good! The wobble is nice and mellow, could maybe do with a little bit of work tho, but not much! Love the track overall, but something seems to be missing, seems just a little empty!

Here's an update on my WIP. Changed a few sounds about, changed the synth a bit. Still haven't touched the drums and can't work on sub yet. Hate how the synth just abruptly ends, but Ill get round to sorting that out. Let me know what you think!

@ nnny -> Deeper reverb on the lead synth, but not tooo much deeper, might give it some extra juice ;)

@ mr hello - I like it, very deep, makes the floor rattle, nice ambient sounds, like the subtle sounding vocals - nice! :W:

@ sqwuabblesmynig - NICE SAMPLES! bass could be a little fatter, little to high imho, I like the concept and where you are going with it :5:

@TGP - For a first attempt, it sounds great. You obviously know your way around a mixer :e:

Ok here we go, still trying to get the automations down but im more interested in knowing what you think of the sound of the bass i made:

This is a really early work in progress. Tried something slightly different on this one. Sounds nothing like my usual sound. Just sat down to write this tonight, and everything came out. There's no intro on it yet, but i will be adding a long, atmospheric one when i get chance. Just wanted to get an opinion on it so far.

I've given feedback on people's soundclouds by the way, its easier for me that way :)

@barbearik Love it all, apart from the bass after the drop, just not my thing really, and also don't think it fits well. The rest is pure spot on tho, gj!

@projekt Loving the percussion. Can't really comment on basses or anything, can barley hear anything. Laptop speakers.

@barbearik Wow, that is definitely an interesting sound. The intro is so quiet though, I would bring it up a bit. I would also increase the level of the sub.

@nnny You might want to add another string part, maybe a cello, to play harmonies with the melody. Overall, it has a nice cinematic feel to it.

@projekt Pretty cool percussion you've got going on there. That raspy panning noise seems to me to be just a little harsh, maybe you could eq it a bit. I think there a few parts where you could switch up the kick and make some interesting rythms.

Thanks for the feedback thus far, it's like I said before, trying NOT to sound like ANYone else in this "brostep" world of ours.

And the correct version is up now... that other one was wobble experiments lol

Need to post some feedback first bro.

@mlh295 Liking the melody on this one. Only thing I have to say is about the bassline. Would like to hear a deeper more gritty bassline in this maybe. Not too much, just a tad more than it is, think it would fit better, but its only my opinion :D

nnny - its a very positive sounding tune. not normally my cup of tea but i really did enjoy listening to it. only suggestion, is change up the snare drum. the volume is great but im not feeling the sound. i have a very particular taste in snare drums but thats just me.

barbearik - :corndance: :cornlol: :corndance: :cornlol: :corntard: <---that is what happened to me. the intro was amazing, i heard the samples and literally LOL'd, started dancing than turned to mush. but for suggestions, during the intro, the drums volume is good, turn up everything else just a tad. or add some reverb or something along those lines to fill it up a little. honestly... those samples are fucking genius! the drop is wild and the only other suggestion id have is more sub on the drop :6:

mlh295 - FIRST THING I WANNA SAY IS that acoustic interlude/bridge/whatever is probably the most musical thing ive ever heard in a brostep style track :n: and the panning on everything is absolutely epic. my ears are going nuts :5: and i dont know if its my headphones but the only thing id add is a little more sub. everything else is so big, but i love when bass makes my desk shake.

its gonna be hard following these guys. but heres a small update on my WIP. ive been busy getting ready to leave for basic training and havnt had much time to sit down and write anything. id really appreciate feedback as im still new, ya digg? :)

if you guys havnt noticed.... i love 8ths over triplets :dunce:

filthy_ : Terror bass! Yea the hi-hats work well over that beat. I dont have my sub or speakers hooked up but will take a listen tomorrow. I like it though.

RightOnTime27: I have the same problem making bangers too. Even though its super popular to make them. I love the reggae sample. Reminds me of an old school dubstep toon. Bassline is whatevs but you got good ideas going on.

Cyberex: Good job man. Song kept me hooked. Drums punched through my laptop speakers really well. Actually the whole song did. Good job, now take these production techniques and make a chill tune!!! haaa

mlh295: another awesome job. Intro is sick definately. whats that sampled from? kind of wish it diddnt go into brostep :P

projekt sick percussion but im on a laptop too and cant hear the bass. nice track for sure

This is a straight up work in production. cant figure out the midrange bassline at all! Im kind of proud of this track because ive been making tunes for about a week after lagging for so long and i dig it. I guess thats good.
probably will release the full track around when the DSF29 competition is going on. big ups guys.

@barbearik i like the bass sounds good ! but yeah intro is a bit quiet and dull imo, samples are cool though !

@projekt great percusion ! keep it up def a track id like to keep up to date with !

@nnny i really like this track, love the synth, good drums, intro is off the chain ! keep it up !

@mlh295 digging this track ! love your drum work nice sounding subbass ! good use of panning

@mut3 yeah something needs to be done in the bass aspect imo doesnt sound like you have much i like the atmospheric vibe to the track though not bad !

@filthy_ i think you need to beef up your drums a bit mainly the snare.. plus the levels of the intro etc and subbass are quite different would either bring the rest up a bit or the bass down... i like the subbass though !

welllll been trying some different stuff lately feel free to tell me what you think

@ filthy_ crazy bass and loving that little sparkly tinkerbell shit u got goin on aswell

@ mlh295 again bass is fucking spot on. track is real heavy. only thing i can criticize is how suddenly that breakdown comes in.

@ barbearik bass is different but really nice at the same time. love the little build up do the drop. mm yay squirrels.

im still new and fairly shit but i was just messing with some synths and seeing what i could come up with then i put them together randomly and this is what it came out like... would love some advice. ta :corndance:

@nnny This is a great atmospheric tune liking it. I didn't hear the synth cut out abruptly so I don't think its a problem.

@barbearik Bass is manic, dont like the hats that come in.

@projekt Crunchy will wait to hear more

@mlh295 bass is like a frog with wind lol sounding good like other comment beef bass up a bit

@filthy_ when the bass breaks the vol drops massivly. bass made me jump out me pants lol
