Im sure there are other ways of setting up a filter the same way with some external VST of better quality rather than the default shitty Ableton filters.orca wrote:Did any of you guys watch this tutorial ?orca wrote:Here is the tutorial:

This guy walks you through the process of how to get an almost perfect Skrillex wob. Why are you still trying to figure it out? You NEED Ableton Live to do it, and as far as I can see you won't be able to recreate it in a another DAW. He leaves out some tricks to make it easier AND he leaves out the distortion you'll need (sounds like Ohmicide), but other than that it's spot on.
it's not a conspiracy he clearly doesn't want to give people the exact sound on a plateMethadose wrote:
This guy finally posted up his tutorial. He got the sound the closest IMO in his song. However, there's a bit he doesn't show (conveniently) including filters two through four in his EQ8 setup, among some other things. Also, the original patch he used is supposedly gone.
Then why does he give away the growls for free? :pLichee wrote:it's not a conspiracy he clearly doesn't want to give people the exact sound on a plateMethadose wrote:

Exactly. He gives the samples away, but the bit that would have been interesting is not in the video unfortunately.blinkesko wrote:Then why does he give away the growls for free? :pLichee wrote:it's not a conspiracy he clearly doesn't want to give people the exact sound on a plateMethadose wrote:

I'm not talking about that portion of the Korn bass. Listen to the bass stem and you will find more than just the 'yoy'. As for why I would listen to it, well I guess I just wanted to hear it on its own.RandoRando wrote:Why would you listen to the KORN song ? Those are simple yois you can make in massive in 5 seconds. I consider a "skrillex bass" scary monsters hnnnnngg sound, or the died this way intro. If you want the KORN song yois I have a massive patch for that
this one sounds pretty interesting. i will post up what i have gotten achieved in a little bithookjunior wrote:Soundcloud
here is my growl. i use a fairly different method but the results are kinda cool. i dont want to sound like skrillex i just want a basss that growls like a monster. is that too much to ask?
