@mr_ooze; Nice vibe to the track, imo u should put the bubbly synth more to the back of the mix and makit less dominant, I persieve it now as a pad mainly? also maeby add a synth to some part of the track.
@jimbeaux; I liek the growlwobble, but it sounds a bit muddy, clear up the muddsection and boost a couple db on highmids
@paradigm001; I like this indian vibe very much, but the composition is a little dull. More variation on the first part. the main synth could be bigger also, try doubling it for instance.
@Astral; This could be huge tune! very good, tame the rattlesnakeshakers abit after the kickdrum kicks in tho. Also the strings could use a friend in some staccato(is it the short played note?!) harmonizing which would be more inyourface. good stuff! U have to make a sick drop to this one, its begging for it :)
@Dj Sampletank; the chopped vocal sample could be playing more often and more as an rhythmic element, now it sounds too much like on crack this tune. Also some melody, atleast a little would be nice?
@Audiosoma; the intro synth is nice, maeby a little more glitching would be awsome.

Here is my first own tune I've made. I think its almost done, maeby some tweaking here and there before its finished. I would love to hear your feedback before I finish it!

AudioSoma - Yeah man I know what you mean about the drops. ANd I resampled and glitched the samples, as well as some automation.(VST - dbglitch or someshit). Your track has a real nice groove to it, only thing I'd suggest is some of the bass sounds have a little too much mid for me, but personal taste eh.

WeAllDie - Thanks for the input dude.

Thanks for everyone who left feedback, it helped a lot.

@paradigm001: sounds good, maybe you should try adding some side chain compression to the background synth, just a thought, not sure how well it would go with the track. as far as adding to it, i think another lead synth could come in, then just add the second drop. btw, that human element track is dope!

@astral: i think the snare could be a bit punchier, imo. i'm really liking those hihat/shakers though. sounds pretty interesting, would love to see where you go with this

@GV1: awesome beat man. that sample is dope, too. its reminiscent of some nujabes style of production.

@WeAllDie: definitely raise the levels on your drums, they kinda get drowned out by everything else, especially the snare. other than that, tune sounds nice n grimy, and i'm digging the synths

@DJ Sampletank: that sub sounds amazing man! tight production. also, that snare and the high hats sound awesome. dark as fuck.

@atticuh: just a thought, but at :46, i think you should keep the pulsing synth in the background, rather than take it out. it might make that mini build up sound a little better.

alright so here's my new w.i.p., let me know what you guys think!

@ wealldie- sounds pretty good, impressed that its your first tune, feedback on your sound cloud as well
@ djsampletank- another sweet track, feed back on your soundcloud
@ atticuh- I have a weakness for adelle remixes, have you heard the Minnesota and marty party remix of rolling in the deep? Feedback on your soundcloud.

Here is what I've been working on lately, it is pretty chill and simple right now. I really like it so I'm not sure if I should change anything I would love some input! Also I know none of my tracks have really been dubstep or anything close to it but I really value the opinions of the members here because you guys make some pretty epic music.

@WeAllDie : Some great ideas and sounds in here. It would be great to incorporate more of the lead from the break into the arrangement after the drop at 0.58, also with that electric guitar distorted reece sounding bass too. the break goes on little long too. dropping back in at 1:34 would sound pretty sick for example.

@paradigm001: i was getting into this until the bass dropped in. the LFO rate is too fast. if it was longer grinding/bending notes the whole track would quickly change into a more epic style of number. food for thought anyways, keep at it for sure.

@jimbeaux: this is solid man, i've heard alot worse in the beatport top 50 for sure. i like the lead at 1;37 but i did find it a little overbearing. layering in a lower octave and rounding off the high frequencies of the higher one might sound cool. great job overall though.

here's something i've been working on, i havent started the mixdown as of yet so there's a few things droppin n poppin. something a bit different for me anyways.

would really like to hear yer thoughts.

@narrator: sick tune man, you made me like some moombahton for a change ;) loving the vibe on this, very groovy indeed

@jclarkeiv: you talk about others making epic tunes when your one has got an Epic vibe if anything lol. brilliant tune, made me sit back and think about my shit life :) maybe make that bass a bit more denser and one of those u feel rather than hear? but then again thats feedback coming from a guy who listens to dubstep and prefers heavy bass so i dont know whether thats your style lol

@mr_ooze: tight beat fam, sick vibe overall as well.. i feel that you could maybe improve that bassline melody that kicks in around 0:55 cos it gets a bit repetitive and annoying, but thats a wicked sound you've got there though, well dutty.. keep it up yo, sick work

yh heres my new w.i.p. went on a bit of a funky flex for this one, lemme know watchu think :)

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it. I do have plenty of headroom to layer a sub into the mix to make the bass bigger, ill mess around with that and see what happens. Feedback on your soundcloud!
Edit: detuned one of the oscillators to try and make the bass a little bigger, see my sig for more bass

Thx for every1 who shared their thoughts on my track here and on soundcloud, much appreciatiated!

@atticuh: I can barely hear the synths. It feels like vocals plus drums now. from 0.28 u deff need to introduce some more elements, i think the intro is too long/dull now, some rhythmic element would be nice. Also the mumbling bass doesnt sit for me, meaby they could duel bass and vocal on some part of the track, just my thoughts. There is something funky about the drums, maeby not enough bottom end? Maeby some reverb to hihats. GL man!

@mr_ooze: nice vibe. Just mix it up alittle more. that synth on end could be more at the end of the mix with big reverb to add mor space

@jclarkeiv: Nice elements there. U need to revisit the mixdown tho. Also the electricpiano is too fast. Its ok if it takes a 16th note run after it has played for 8th notes for couple bars. I guess those runs should lead to some change at the tune, now its just a long solo? A chord/melody change wouldnt hurt either some point on the trackfor the main background synth. Keep working!

@narrator: Nice track man! The intro synths lfo is abit fast for me tho. OR u could just leave 8th note space possibly at the end of the bar. It little too manic now, that its right at the start. also the bass fill at 1.56 should be @ 2.00 imo. but nice work!

@jizzman: nice track, i like it! Good melody. the first drop is dissapointing tho, I think it would use more speed/aggression, meaby resample the wobblebass and cut some good parts of it and go grazy :) the same thing @1.45 it sounds nice, but it could be alot more with some 8th or 16th notes here and there. Nice track, like the choral part!

I appreciate the feedback, I'm kind of going for a solo feel with the piano, though i do agree a key change would probably help, I will definitely play around with that later tonight. Also the piano sound is just a grand piano preset in ableton, I plan on recording it again with my yamaha s80 synth's grand piano as it sounds real and I will be able to utilize its velocity sensitivity. ( I won't be playing the 32 notes though, I'm am no where near that skilled. I will play around with the speed of the piano too and see how it sounds.

Thanks for the feedback dude.

that part is not the intro but is actually a straight transition break after the intro to build into the main drop.
i tried it out and kinda disgree with the change @1:56 because the riff plays in full leading to the drop and allows for use at the end of the bar in the reprise after the drop if that makes sense.. thanks for the ideas though.

@Jizzman very nice idea. Drop section is a bit empty. Strong, but empty...or perhaps, too distorted.

@narrator needs more melodic implementation IMO, but its pretty funky and filthy. Its definitely a cool track.

@jclarkeiv its a good idea. Nice piano playing. Not enough high end and not very clear. Also its repetitive. Needs better drums, too.

@mr_ooze oh thats clean! Drop section is repetitive though and kind of annoys me.

@atticuh I like it! Nice track choice for remixing. Drums are well done, but the drop is really empty of anything other than drums and vocal. Get a pad in there, maybe a lead or a bassline or something...just my two cents.

@WeAllDie Really dig the intro, but the drop section doesnt make any sense to me whatsoever. It would be in your best interest to incorporate some parts of the general melody into the drop section...would make the track much more understandable. Basslines are also unclear, maybe get some good eq'ing done to fix that up.

K, heres mine. So far, it's DnB, but I'm going to bring it down to halftime in the drop, so I guess its both. Looking for a vocal acapella to fit it (any suggestions appreciated).

@we all die: ok i think its sounding ok, this might be just me but i think the snare sounds a bit blunt bring the highs up a bit, but i like the intro. nice work.

@jrisreal : its sounding good so far, i dont know about were to put an acappella but i would like to here it when you think of something, piano riff is good. i dont like how the drums go quiet on the next riff/breakdown, maybe just put a filter on them and a bump up the reverb.

@jclarkeiv : like the chorus synths man, and the piano riffs. the mid range on the bass is a bit suss. but sound ing good. i thoght some heavily delayed/reverbed voice stabs would go a treat, really quiet in the background make it a bit more viby.

ok i have workin on 3 tracks, feedback on any one of them would be appreciated.
