dj sampletank- interesting ideas, need to work on your sound design though pal but thatll ciome with time. Tracks a tad sparse as well, feels a bit too bare. sub needs turning up too.

Mraural- Loved the tune from the intro. Reminds of the streets haha, get mike skinner to spit over this and your golden lol.my only advice would be work on the offbeat hat sound and finish it!

Sonicarts- Really strong idea mate, loving the classical vibes mixed in with bassmusic. Would make a sick hip hop/grime beat! honestly not much i can say aart from just work on it structurally, feels a bit meandering at times other than that its quality

heres my efforts-

Hey guys,

Here's a lil feedback. If anyone replies I'll have a listen to theirs as well..

Sonic Arts
Really like what you've got going on here. For some reason it sounds like it should be the sound track to a car advert ha..

Mr Aural
So far so good.. can't wait to hear this progress.

DJ Sampletank
Parts of this I love. Synths are good and are chopped nicely. Doesn;t feel like it ever drops though, just like... oh, hear are some synths. I'd like a build and then get the drums / basses kick in together.

Here's a new track I've been working on. I've just teamed up with a good friend of mine and we're banging out tunes at the moment. If you wanna learn stuff quickly.. get a buddy and put some tracks together.

Burgeamon:

I like it, you have some cool sounds in there and the song flows pretty well. I have a couple suggestions.

-Add more structure to the song, and maybe make it longer. The intro had my attention at first but around 40 seconds I started zoning out, and then the back half of the song is relatively short after all that anticipation.
-The only other thing I noticed is that the kicks leading up to the drop were kind of weak. It sounds like you designed it that way on purpose to some extent (probably for originality), but I'd suggest adding a bit more umph to them.

Otherwise a cool song.
Check out my latest (and first) song. Please PM with feedback, I need all the help I can get!

Burgeamon - Well you don't need me to tell you that you've got something here! only thing i would say is have a more snapping snare this one doesn't seem to punch me in the face as id like!

Cheeky //

bass - Pretty Coki sounding basses, which is a hella good thing! oh yeah this is sick, drums have a nice flow, bass works with it, sub kicks ass too!

space dub - well not really feeling this one as much, defiantly got a good atmosphere going but i just wish it had a harder drum beat, which doesnt sound like what you were going for but yeah i can tell that you're feeling it though!

Pixelscum seriously have you not read the rules? post feedback on three tunes first

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

heres my newest one, im aware its short, the structure is by no means my concern right now, hows the sub coming through?

Post feedback on others before asking for yourself, does nobody read the rules anymore?

its all cool man, no worries, and yeah i like yours, its not ridiculously over the top and stupid as most 'brostep' being produced on this forum yeah you've got a clear idea and you've stuck with it, intro works really well, nice sample too, only thing id do is beef the drums up abit they dont seem to reflect the rawness of the bass! get some more midrange punch in your snare, but yeah nice! and fuck! that second drop at 1:06 works so well at changing it up!

Thanks fella. That was just a sample anyway, there are a few other parts to the song, we're still playing around with it.

I agree with the break down needing to evolve a little more. Originally I had a pretty standard kick pattern / rising sub before the drop but wanted to try something different, I think probably something between the two will help it evolve better.

@pixlescum- those samples are pretty awesome, I also like the bass line.
@cheeky- I really like the sub, actually all the bass is good.
@Burgeamon- the vocals are processed well, I really like em. The build -up to the drop seems a little weak compared to the drop itself, but that is more of a preference than a criticism

Burgeamon: really nice tune, I cant say anything bad about it... it has its own style ;)

jclarkeiv: Are my ears burning? :u:

ETF: it sounds repettive, and you should add some high frequencies too, even it is dark style.

Pixelscum: at 2:00 it gets absolutely badass maybe try variate bassline with some classic wobbles and avoid repetiveness

Ibscotty, some sweeps wouldn't go astray it'd give it dimension and depth

I posted this one up as a thread it was more about people discussing how to make basslines etc and getting a fat sub to stick with it but i'll post it up here anyways, it's a tune i started a couple of days ago LOADS to be done with it i was just working on the growls for the past couple of days tho. Feedback welcome can post here, if anyone has any tips on the bass or anything technical or anyone wants to know about it reply in the Heavy Bass thread, cheers :)

Congojack: very nice reese sound, but in dubstep, there are more than one bass sound and you have some space left for sub bass

@ Congojack : You really need more sub on this. It sounds decent but high cutted :D. You should EQ your kick too and give it more power too.

@ Pixelscum : Short intro, but great bassline ! Sounds pretty good. You could play a bit more with your sub, give some more mouvement. Your snare is a bit too low for me, my opinion only ;)

@ E-T-F : Short clip yes, intro is too minimalist. Bassline needs more variation, drums needs eqing, but your sub comes good.

@ Burgeamon : I guess your mixdown is not done. Some synth sounds cold, it need warmth ! But there's solid ideas on your track, keep it up

@Cheeky : 1st track is awesome, sounds like badklaat :p . 2nd track is a wip ? it sounds bare. Finish it !

@DJ Sampletank : Where's your sub ? Forgot it ? You need to practice mixdown and compression. Your kick is to far in the mix, and your synth are like high cutted. What's your setup ?

@MrAural : 2stepish clip is pretty good, keep it up now :p

@Kiene : Nice deep stuff there ! Main idea is good, i like that pad running in the background. Maybe your drums need some more punch.

8 feedback is right enough ! My time now. Once again something deep and a bit dark on this one !

yeah, there's no EQ on that tune yet and no sub either (hence the lack of warmth). I think once we get the structure nailed and add a sub and a good ole mixdown it'll be sick.

Elyhess
I like that bass patch. But... too repetitive and I don't like how the hats come in from no where. I think you need a bit of structure, but you have lots of cool parts there.

ibscotty
really, really like the drums and percussion. this is not what i'd normally listen to but im enjoying the bouncy vibes and subtle bass.

congojack
cannot fault that intro.. really gripping and has me very interested. And the drop is brilliant. I like how the highs give it a really open / airy feel. Get a bit more sub under then and it will be redic powerful. Your growls are great! Love when it changes up... yeah... def really digging this tune. Finish it and buzz me a copy please!

Darj
Anyone who leaves that many comments is good in my books! This is really well balanced fella, your drums / percussion are nice and wide. You've given the basses plenty of space and the entire track has a great groove / feel.

Right, here is another one.. its a 110bpm remix that we mixed down this eve and will prob make a few tweaks with fresh ears in a few days. Would love feedback.
