Too bad it's gone Made some quality releases over its time. Some of the most special releases on their were the one-offs from Hatcha, Data, and RSD, but the regular releasers their were also great.

i'm in the process of going thru the catalogues of all my favorite labels and finding old tunes that i've never heard (it's taking me like a month so far). so far i've gone through medi, dmz, tempa, artikal, lioncharge, system, innamind, uprise, osiris, and now black box. still on the list is box clever, possibly tectonic, and maybe swamp & keysound, though i doubt i'll be able to make it through all of those.

so far from black box, i really like:

-DJ Madd - Good Old Days VIP
-TMSV & DJ Madd - Difference (J:Kenzo remix)
-N-Type & Cyrus - Conscious (sounds a lot like Exothermic Reaction, love that sound)


Also what tf is the difference between black box and blkbxxx, and box clever for that matter?

Box clever is a sister label, they used to only release 10"s instead of 12"s

Always thought it was a bit bait at times, when you'd get a black box record, and it was basically the 10" test press (tune is in the middle of the plate with a big smooth gap around the outside lol.

The XXX stuff was just limited pressing black box releases if i remember correctly.
