I was kind of accidentally making it...i would find a sample, or make a sound that i thought would go really good in a trap song. i'd throw together a rough project file and sell it to a buddy of mine who does make trap. i didn't like making it. i felt lesser because i spend so much time on here, i feel like its been programmed in my head to hate trap, and brostep and all these modern genres. but now, i like it. i like making it, it sounds good to me. it has a certain groove.
how are you feeling like you are being programmed into hating "trap", "and all these modern genres"?!!?? who/what's exactly proselytizing you so easily you little insecure weak willed bitch
Honestly, and this is absolutely pathetic. im still young, i understand i dont know much about making music, and i accept that. so i look up to those who are more experienced than me. nobody realizes it, but i literally look up to and follow so many people here on the DSF...follow their interests, their styles. thats why i feel "programmed" to dislike trap, modern dubstep etc, because for most on the DSF, for the people i've been on here with, those genres are less accepted. i discovered all these old genres, the original stuff, the roots of music. it all started here for me, and i learned so much through the dubstep forum. I just feel like im going to be criticized for going off and doing my own thing. and i know that i more than likely wont, im not even noticed on the DSF really. Sorry. I feel awful.

omg this is so heartbreaking :corncry:

I know, real tear jerker.
I think we all need to re-evaluate our reasons for making music.
Look at us noticing you n shit.

TRU-SKOOL DUBSTEPPERS
Keeping dubstep real since 2006, the Tru-Skool Dubstepper would rather lose a body part than listen to one of Skream’s disco sets. She’ll only go to a rave if the sound-system is tailor made for dub, knows every unreleased Mala tune off by heart and can roll a King L spliff quicker than you can say ‘swifta beater’ – though don’t mention the fact that DMZ and Subloaded only happen once a year these days, or she’s liable to get a bit sad. Girls are notable for Goa-style dancing and a slight whiff of Strongbow, boys for bouncing up and down on the spot and a BO/Stella breath combo.
Most likely to be found: In front of the bassbin, waiting for ‘Anti War Dub’ to drop
Most likely to say: “Plastic People’s just not the same since they changed the system

EDIT - just read the rest of this;

BASS-FACE NEWBIE
Arguably the engine room of the new dance music, Bass-Face Newbie has fully embraced the potential for moshing bare-chested while full of lager and MDMA that the thrashing sound of acts like Steve Aoki, Knife Party and US-tinged dubstep offers. Sweaty, muscular and enthusiastic, he or she has little time for genre arguments or tune trainspotting. Not when there is this much fun to be had.
Most likely to be found: Down the front, holding the corner of Steve Aoki’s crowd-surfing dinghy while gurning like a steam train.
Most likey to say: “Come on you fuckers, this whirlpool won’t start itself!”
One of the lads I went to Benicassim last year is pretty much this stereotype. Nice enough bloke, but kept moshing to Chase & Status whilst wearing flashing sunglasses, then telling me how much he loves Skrillex' bass at the afterparty :lol:

I did mostly for the Plastic people bit making me laugh and the bit about mala dubplates reminded me of Riddles encyclopedic knowledge of dubstep tunes.

I saw alot of the french types when I accidently went to a Frech electro night at the nest. I just thought it was an east london thing :cornlol:

they seem to have a great time so i say fair game to em... just people should do it when appropriate.. not during a kode9 set in DMZ....
