i love brazil and all that, but Kaka was a little disappointing today..

not in the way he plays, he's one of the best and is no doubt world class...

i just got disappointed that to me, it looked like he was diving a couple times (i think the ref agreed, as no whistle was blown on three occasions where he fell dramatically)

plus he's been handed yellow cards like the refs want him to autograph them or something

really hope im imagining things, as they're always fun to watch, i just hope they prove to me that they're above the darker arts of footy

Excited for this one, also really want Portugal to win. Portugal are probably my favourite under Brazil so it would be a shame for them to go out as i think they have alot of potential. Spain have all round brilliant players, but funnily enough with me being a Brazil fan i'm going to challenge the idea that Brazil have the best defence and say that i think Portugal have displayed the best defence so far. No goals conceded, and if they keep it up they'll have a real chance against Spain.

Portugal seem to be the dirtiest team in the tournament. The amount of diving and appealing for cards from them is obscene. Brazil come second in this department.

Coentrão is possibly the best player of the tournament along with Özil.

I'm supporting Spain. Portugal are great but Spain are just so clean and effortless. Love watching them play. They can be a bit bland at times but they're a fantastic team.

Commentators are right, looks like attack vs defence and Portugal have found a couple of real good chances. Defence doesn't seem quite as tight as it was against Brazil last friday but still seems to be doing the job i guess. Great clearence by Carvalho near the end of the 1st half. Come on Portugal! :)

Casillas is looking very shakey. That scooped save was dreadful. He's been lucky so far. Spain need to use the flanks more. Portugal have so many men back that to go through the centre is almost impossible. I reckon Spain could easily pick them apart though. Xavi and Iniesta will hopefully find a way through. Xavi's passing is excellent and he has a very good eye for runners.

I despise Pepe and Tiago.

The better team won. That red card was definitely questionable though. Shame on Capdevila if he was faking it.

Villa is so good. Ramos' chance was a belter too. Bringing Llorente on was a very good decision. He worked the defense a hell of a lot more than Torres. Torres is still looking rough.

I can't even make excuses. Defensively Portugal played great (until it started to fall apart abit aroung the 1st goal and afterwards), but otherwise they were just severely lacking. The passing and control was absolutely terrible for Portugal!! They could not keep the ball when they got hold of it and it pissed me off how they tried to constantly build the team around Ronaldo, taking Almeida and Simao off was stupid imo. Ronaldo has been a severe let down at international level for the third consecutive time. Still gutted Portugal are out as i'd have liked them to show more and progress further but Spain definitely played better unfortunately lol.

Seriously hoping Brazil can get through Holland on friday and it would be nice to see Argentina progress further too (also, might be a nice bonus to see Argentina knock out Spain :P).

i agree 100%...

you have to admit tho, Costa was kinda asking for it with previous plays, it's almost as if the ref was just looking for an excuse.

I'm glad the Dutch won. I like watching Brazil but there's something really appealing about Dutch football. Holland seemed to completely fuck up some easy chances on goal towards the end though. Pretty embarassing.
