@ mac see thats not heavy at all to me. It has a heavy base line. What I mean by heavy is that it goes hard, like that ry legit clip. I never said I was at system; i was at summer love, so your right. I cant make a distinction. And Im pretty sure Ive been to events that went harder than that. Bassnectar even went harder than that, and thats saying something

@ rev thats alrite. I usually dont like songs with lyrics but the sound is cool. Nothing I would listen to though. The last one is just slow as well. It has like two sounds in the whole song

@ eh Ok well by default I cant say anything about skream. Dude it nasty. So ill leave that one along. The middle one is just too slow. Nothing to it. The last one is a little alrite

@mac gimmi a minute to listen to all those

I think I hear different things in a song then everyone else lol

I couldn't give 2 shits about whether something's mainstream or not, I fucking LOVE Katy B for example. I get that you like stuff that 'goes hard', but constantly screaming in your face gets kinda repetitive after a while. All these tunes we're posting, make no mistake about it, will CRUSH YOU on a big soundsystem. It's a completely different way of hearing (feeling) them when you're out in the right environment. I didn't say you were at System, I just said that if you were you'd understand. Of course The Big Bang isn't gonna sound heavy on your monitors with no sub, but when I heard it on a club sound system the WEIGHT was unbelievable.

As for calling some tunes slow, they're all around the same speed. Dubstep = around 140bpm. Even if they were slower, I don't get this whole 'faster and heavier = better' attitude. What's wrong with a little variation?

@ mac skream, fatman and distance dont sound bad at all. I would prefer it a little fast but that sound I dont mind at all. I assume you put the bug one in as a joke, and the last one, it isnt bad at all. Its just nothing I would listen to. The only one I can say I truly dislike it the bug one.

@ rev I didnt even see the rolling with the punches song. But still, it just reminds me of music you relax and smoke buds to. Im kind of the opposite in taste. For relaxing, that song is great. Just not for anything else

@ eh brostep lol is that what I like?

@ mac I have a 3k sound system. I promise you when I say, I hear every single part of those songs. The bass is shaking everything. But I like more substance. It just comes of like relax music. I like the sound that makes you say alrite lets fucking party. When i hear those songs I feel like just hanging out not doing anything

I... I don't even.... Once again, you're talking about a certified classic dubstep tune. And if you listened to it on a proper soundsystem it would hurt you.

Also, all those tunes around around the same speed as the Knife Party tune you posted earlier. Pretty sure Fatman VIP is actually a few BPM faster

You have a soundsystem like this?

What's wrong with Bass Cannon is the extremely boring, derivative drum pattern and the screechy synth. Actually heard it once on the above system and it was rather unpleasant.

Alrite alrite I see what going on here. Your taking it from an artists point of view. As a producer, you can hear things and spot things I probably cant, and when im saying things like faster, as a producer you automatically assume bpms. I know that 140 bpm is the standard, but thats not what I meant by faster. When I say faster, I mean the sound substance is more technical and more noisy I guess. Theres more sounds lol

@ rev so I guess the noise that I like, you hear as screech. My grandpa has that same problem lol im messing but no really whats the screech you hear?

brostep? I dont know what falls under brostep, b ut now I know that you have a name for what I listen to, this whole convo is irrelivent. You just dont like "brostep" and think 90% of "brostep" is screech and noise. So thats good to know. And yes by technically I mean the beats that go into my ears have more variety than what you guys showed me. Going off your your guys examples, dubstep is massive bass and occasionally you might hear a flute or something
