here's my example of trying out the reverse reverb tek (BIG UP WUB!) and its really quik and easy and it does end up sounding mega awesome, ozzy wouldn't joke with you.

this tek is also in the love don't come easy dub and sounds comparably stupendous in that tune as well

yea works for a dancefloor dj friendly tune, but for home listening intent chuck that out the windowStep Correct wrote:Make sure to keep the DJ in mind... say at a 64 or 128 or what have you.. remember you are not only making a build up into another section of your tune but also a possible entry/exit point for the selectors.
hmmm tip-o-the-day for the cubase users check out some of the midi effects that sometimes get overlooked like the pattern editor
ie: if doing a break edit heavy piece you can get it set up so your different complete edits are all mapped out midi wise to one key on your keyboard/controller
Yo Deadly, d ya mind elabourating on this a bit bro?Deadly Habit wrote:yea works for a dancefloor dj friendly tune, but for home listening intent chuck that out the windowStep Correct wrote:Make sure to keep the DJ in mind... say at a 64 or 128 or what have you.. remember you are not only making a build up into another section of your tune but also a possible entry/exit point for the selectors.

From the northwestern quadrant
hey I ended up doing this last night and it helped the flow of things.
depending on how you structure your shit, work on the final section first, the way you plan on ending the tune.
So my tune looks something like:
intro - 16 bars
drop 1 - 32
break 1 - 8
drop 2 - 32
break 2 - 8
drop 3 - 32
outro - 16
So I ended up developing drop 3...and then working backwards, stripping it down sort of thing . After two weeks of beginning and scrapping bits of the tune, I nearly completed this in under 3 hours. Instead of trying to progress and develop, trying to add shit...did the opposite - subtracting, it all came faster.
