I like the drum pattern on this, the sounds are great and mixed well too!

My thoughts are:

Add another element (prob something melodic) maybe around a minute in - my ears want something there.

You may want to add a more mid-range element to the bass. On my low-end monitors I can barely hear the bass and it's rattling. This will obviously be okay on a big system, but you may want something additional in the 100-500 hz range to add some definition to the sound, and so it can be heard on less than stellar systems.

Nice porno-y soundbits :) Sucks your cpu crashed.

Nice echo-y drums on Immolator too.

The vocal sound on Immolator and Griever have a really unique quality and sound cohesive with eachother even though I am fairly certain they are from different sources.

Dark 2steppy drums (inspired by a Svpreme Fiend song - cheers!), some reese, some vinyl samples, and an accapella.

I could really use some suggestions on the vocals, I don't like them as is but I am new to this, so all feedback, criticism, comments, etc are welcome.

I can take it :)
I actually like the vocals, man, maybe throw some delay on them so they flow a bit more. That's just personal preference, I love when vocals are sort of blurred out like that with delay. It's usually how I lengthen notes if need be, regardless of whether I'm fucking with vocals or whatever else. Only other thing I could say is maybe make that bass deeper, it could really make that melody incredible. Actually, on second thought, the vocals sound fine, I like how clean and minimal they are. This is really nice. :0

I just put up a new one earlier today that I did on this, my sister's old laptop from college. -_- I basically wanted to see if like I could still produce without my setup and it actually worked out reasonably well.

Thanks for the tip on the vocals, I will definitely try that. Is that how you got that "slippery" effect on "Affecter"? The second, deeper vocal that comes in sounds so ill, I am guessing that's a sample you tuned way down.

I feel like I need to re-arrange the vocal phrases in my joint a bit too, and spruce up the drum programming. It's gonna be a long night.

4/20 track is interesting - just shows you it doesn't matter what you use if you know what you are doing. Trying to decipher the vocals (on my 3rd listen now) - sounds almost foreign or maybe reversed, or maybe both.

Thanks guys!
Just peeped:

"Almost 13th" - good arrangement, cool synth. I feel like the drums could be mixed a bit better though, and could either use some swing or manually adjust the placement of the sounds as it feels a slight bit stiff.

"Dead Battery" - This one sounds dope. Love that vocal, the effect you did on it sounds hot. This one is done? Sounds like it :)

Like around when I made "Affecter", that was when delay was pretty much the ONLY effect I was using. I wasn't even like...fucking with filters back then, and yeah I did basically create the contrast between the samples by pitching snippets up and down as I needed to. Delay is still a primary characteristic of my sound, though I don't OD with it like I used to. It can make things nice and blurred out, but at the same time it can also make things kind of muddy and fuck up the interaction with other elements of the tune. I'm trying to go for a relatively cleaner sound these days, my drum programming definitely needs some sprucing as well. I'm trying to bring like the percussion to the forefront.

I finished that 4/20 tune just now, I think it sounds much better now with the changes. Thank you for listening, man.

really nice so far man the only thing I think is that background driving tune...thats kind of distorted, maybe cut some of the low end out? and the bass line I think has a little too much resonance...and hard to make out the different notes but It's cool a sweet groove. I really like the beat a lot. maybe pull out the snares more. im no super legit producer or anything just my two cents!

Heyall. I've stuck up a rough track that i have started. I've just got ableton and been trying to learn how to make some Dubstep beats for a month or so now. any feedback on first attempt appreciated, don't know if the bass is really coming thru?

The beats are pretty good man, mayb layer up your snare a bit. i feel its lacking midrange punch, also your lead bass noise is good just needs a sub bass line under it to make it nice n thick :D (kick drum is nice n fat)

if you got a minute check out my tune a few posts up
