this specific tune just sounds like rap anyways and not good rap at that.

it will obviously get some people intrested in dubstep but a lot of people will just assume its rap/hip hop and have probably never herd of chase n status.

the worst thing would be if the impression of the majority was that they think its just progressive (commercial) hip hop when its nt.

lol im sorry but this tune...

is CHEESEY as fuck. cheeeesestep business.

even before you listen, the fuckin NAME is such a cheesey gag. slum dog millionaire play and an asian influenced beat, who would of thought of such a crazy freshizzle idea.

those kind of attitudes towards music are why i hardly listen to commercial stuff.

+

LOL @ the random users coming out of nowhere to defend the tune and chatting ignorant shit.

LOLL
just heard this tune
initially open minded
then enjoyin the tune
then kinda like omdzzzz
i do not want people who were like "wtf is dubstep" or "thats just noise"
buzzing all over it
to be honest i want to see artists get paid
the scene should get more good publicity etc.
but that was cheesestep
it would kill me to hear like 50 Cent over Woo Boost or something...
however this tune was okay and its great to see this scene grow etc...
i just hate wen things become cash cows
like grime has of late
as long as theres a duality of overground and underground it should be okay so worry not...
or at least try...
ur hopin' that I grab the mic, I'm like, "Okeley Dokely", straight Ned Flanders, blaze trees and leave dead branches...

Ya i agree this track is not good, way rather just listen to eastern jam, which was a terrable choice to overlay badly mixed vocals. The corus just seems like a joke but the other parts deece, snoops raping is good but u can tell hes havin abit of trouble keeping on the rhythem.

to my taste that tune is even better with Snoop than without him.

and this thread's become another excellent showcase of this forum's growing retardness. used to be a nice spot to read people's comments on the exciting life of dubstep but seems like it's not the case anymore.

I have to big up Plastician for his point. whatever happens next, this is an exciting step forward and there is no reason to worry about dubstep's future at all. there is and always will be a growing number of underground producers who push the sound forward.

it's exactly the same thing as in hip-hop - a real follower of the scene respects the legends and keeps searching and supporting the up-n-coming talents. they are out there even after 40 years of hip-hop's history.

can't see how you find dubstep being ruined by it's commercial success, you can't act like it's your best kept secret forever. for some time it's been a properly established music genre and a worldwide movement - so don't be surprised it's moving! ;)

The whole point was to get the internet buzzing... the internet is buzzing. Don't read too deep people. He took a Hip Hop approach and went after the current biggest tune as to get people's attention.. Good for him. 8)

also, he's not so much gonna be schooled in the way the dubstep scene works as a lot of people obviously aren't very familiar with the way the Hip Hop scene works.. This kind of thing is pretty common practice.
