John Psymbionic:

Unfortunately, the hayday turntables + vinyl didn't have to deal with the amount of physical movement from large sound systems the way we do these days

John Psymbionic:
Playing bass music means the bass may knock the needles right off your turntable at the worst time

Hi guys. Just want to say this forum is dope. Been such a help in terms of my production. Anyway, I've been signed up for a while but rarely post, thought it was time to start being a bit more active!

What do you want to do? I don't think you can change your name but User Control Panel (top right corner) is where you can change avatar and stuff

Hello all, I'm new here been listen to Dubstep for a short while about two years... It takes a while for things to come across this town where I live. I'm from the States the good 'ol state of Texas.

I first heard of 'Dubstep' from the likes of Datsik and those guys although upon first listening I felt as though there was something else behind this as it just didn't sound right... and boy I was right.

I find it hard to listen to most and almost all 'brostep' as it mainly sounds like horribly produced DnB with a 2-step beat that hurts your ears after listening for more than 2 minutes.

I first became infatuated with bass music at a young age watching movies of the 90's and falling in love with it but not having access to such music.

To me Dubstep is Amazing there is not a set way on Dubstep it can be almost anything and everything. The possibilities are endless.

If you have any questions feel free to message me.

I'm also on the DnB forums under the same handle although I don't go there much, so just forget about this last sentence.... It never happened.

wagwan every1

longgggg time lurker but first time poster. im ben, aka http://www.youtube.com/user/fuckoffben
i chat bare shit on the youtubes but soemtimes i upload cheeeky dubs i find, be my friend on youtube if u upload some good tunes, i rinse that shit daily (Y)

outside of being an irritating twat on the internet i work as a graphic designer and ive rock climbed for 14 years

im from the ass end of nowhere up north west uk, secluded from any form of decent music (its getting better though, someone dropped a Wen track the other night when i was out and i was like wuuuuut)

loved dubstep since i first heard old dmz tunes. i prefer older dubstep but ive got an extremely specific fancy thats very hard to tickle. imo dubstep sounds too 'mechanical' sometimes. never been a fan of the growly synths (not the brostep ones, the 'distance' ones, idk how to descibe em), the ones that make u think aliens are playing with ur brain membranes when u listen to it stoned.
stuff that sounds more natural / swung and rootsy always appeals to me more, probs cos i also love reggae, dub, garage, hip hop (+uk hip hop).
some of the more interesting techno/house stuff coming out recently that isnt just DUFF DUFF DUFF DUFF can be interesting, its got to have some serious spice/creativity to it though. most new deep house is absolutely fucking wack

registered cos i started messing around making "music" a while ago and im essentially worse than awful.
