The western world has become accustomed to painting jihadist as terrorists and people like Breivik as insane, which is a terribly racist distinction or notion tbh.
But mostly a sign of a society trying to cope than it being genuinely directed hatred, yet it is used politically by a few segments that used to be considered extremists before everyone decided caramel people are bad for democrazy. imo

This time around the thing that is mixed in to give it some edge or further legitimize it as news, might aswell have been veganism. Thinking humans shouldn't respect the sentiment or whatever you want to call it, and just see a tragedy for what it is.

From experience psy/goa trance hippies are mostly smug jerks that think they are enlightened and better than the masses at large. Like they are some form of elite forest dwellers that have reached a greater understanding of things. They look down on scum like us, they know you are not one of them immediately once on site - your lack of devil sticks skills is a dead give-away of your veiled conscience "sheepdom". Tbf meeting a non-hippie chick at one of these is guaranteed poon as long as you dont take her to the spiritual union tent at any point in the night.

my experience with psy trance people is really good actually, nice people and some of the more ambient psy stuff is ok IMO. They're often not into the repetitive routine of getting drunk every weekend (at the same places) either

Everyone keeps calling their shitty little favorite type of music or genre 'a way of life', but if everything is 'a way of life' anyway, doesn't that make it unpspecial? Why make special mention of psytrance being 'a way of life' if to other people collecting STDs at bareback parties is a way of life too?

I 'm fond of "Psy Chill" and their brand of ambient/downtempo stuff tbh. Blaze trees at the chill tent for days when im out at something like this. I've met cool people as well, just the overall vibe of most interactions is somewhat annoying.

I think way of life means more that it's a style of living that's worthy of pursuit. I can't imagine many people who think collecting STDs at bareback parties is a desirable way of living for most people.

i could maybe deal with it if the music wasnt so fuckin shit, same exact beat in every tune, granted the psybient stuff is ok especially the dubby stuff, but the higher bpm stuff is so fuckin cheesy and awful to me

Psytrance is definitely not a desirable way of life.
