It has a detachable speakers, line in and a phone pre amp so you can plug in a turntable  tape deck isn't working right now but I should be able to sort that out.
Nice. Got one of these a few years ago, also for £3

I actually had a turntable plugged into it for about a year before getting an amp and speakers for cheap.

I think it might have been the weakest series since it came back, but it's still been pretty enjoyable. The one with the Ice Warrior on the Soviet sub was fun and I thought the Cybermen one was done well. Journey To The Centre Of The TARDIS was excellent.

The filler felt a bit too much like filler this year though. I'm hoping for some serious Gallifreyan geekery in the Autumn... is John Hurt The Valeyard? I hope he is. 8)

I reckon he's old 8- post time war stuff though that's only because 11 referred to him in the past tense, though who knows!

I'm currently getting argued down by my brother about the Valeyard for a lot of the same reasons, but I'm sticking to my guns. He's met the Valeyard "before" anyway... it's not like the Doctor can't, err, time travel or meet his other incarnations.

I'm going to be spectacularly wrong and disappointed come November.

I reckon he's the actual ninth, bumping current doctor up to 12, I don't think they're going for the valeyard yet, but by exploring time war doctor in a way that bumps the numbers up (who's to say 8 didn't have to regenerate during the time war and regenerated into john hurt as a doctor who went HAM and laid waste to countless species for the good of time) they get closer to the time between the 12th and 13th doctor, and the valeyard is meant to between these two. They definitely mentioned it for a reason, I just don't think it'd be like the writers to mention something that has almost direct relevance.
