Gonna bake thick and chewy peanut butter and [white and] chocolate chip cookies for friends who donate to those affected by typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda.

Made cassava coconut cake and giving out as well. :corndance:

I'm going to throw a little party for new years and I've decided to go all out with the food.

What are the best canapes/finger foods you can think of? I need some fish ones and vegetarian ones as well.

I once made dis.. tasted good. Dunno what it's called or if it's even called anything. I just improvised.

Cooked some shrimp in some olive oil (coconut works too) with some bell peppers. Added some coconut milk and raw cashew butter. Stirred it up and then added some sriracha and fresh jimejuice.

Served with fried rice.

Was damn good m8s.

Ive done similar with chicken and it was great.
Would probably add a few spring onions and a bit of powdered sugar to slightly caramelize the chili and pepper.

You can't go wrong with raw cauliflower, broccoli and carrot sticks with hummus

I've got something similar to that, it's called a saucepan.

You can do something similar with a saucepan. Add ingredients, cook, then consume the end project. Madness.

broccoli in gorgonzola sauce - good as a garnish as well. you just need broccoli, butter, gorgonzola (and w/e other cheeses you wish, i guess) and some sour cream for cooking
thinking of turning this into a sauce for like pasta n shit. just gotta chop the broccoli more

chocolate hummus http://thecolorfulkitchen.com/2013/10/0 ... te-hummus/

Looks goood terpit. Made a peng guacamole last weekend with my gf. was tasty i want to make salsa next times.
Also best thing to cook on a budget is Ramen.

All you need is stock cubes(or miso), ginger, lemongrass, garlic, noodles, a chilli, spring onions and meat/fish and veg of your choice. boil the stock with ginger and lemongrass in it, (tend to keep the lemongrass as a stick but crush the end up to let out the juices). add 1 clove of garlic and half a chilli to the stock. fry your meat/fish in garlic chilli and soy sauce. add noodles to broth until ready to eat, add meat and fired veg to broth and noodles. Done. eat and possibly shit yourself later cos you put to much ginger in it.
