just overall not weekly
just overall not weekly
Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER
I didn't say what I wanted to say: BUD, yeah, I'm down with that idea of a TUNA! release kind of thing. Pick some of the best tracks, and push them all the way. Though, I have to say I usually push my tracks past the point of breaking... Maybe with some sage advice, I can actually finish one of these things.

Yeah, where is the doctor of psychology?
And what happened to fragments?

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER
Would have to kind of wrap it up in March with selecting toons, to give a month or so to work on em? At the end stages, I lose all perspective, and tend to make really bad decisions on top of bad decisions.
And let me say, my monitoring situation is just going from bad to worse, in terms of my confidence in what I'm hearing. The difference between my dt 770's and krk rockit 5's is just widening and widening as I become more aware of what is going on. I really don't know which to believe, and my mixes are sounding TOTALLY different on each.
Like I kind of feel good like I can get my mix sounding pretty right on my krk's or sounding right on my dt 770's, so it is not so much my general mix abilities, it is just like, the mix ONLY sounds good on that playback system... you know?! Don't really know how to get a track to sound good on everything. Like my rockits and 770's are just SO far apart. My track for this week, and there in my sig, like that acid bass, in some sections I mixed SO far back in the 770's and listening again in the morning on the rockits, it is like standing out by like many db throughout the whole song..., and that screechy kind of siren synth line, on the dt 770's comes way forward sometimes, and then moves back and what not, but on the rockits, it is just way back there, never comes forward. Like I was making big big db moves on these sounds...
AAARRGHHH. Mixing is for the birds. I really REALLY hate it.

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER
yeha sounds fine march for the selection and maybe may for the free download
i know what you mean i hate mixing too just do it so its kinda ok for people
i like making music and having ideas but all this technical stuff i really dont feel
maybe take your mixes to bad places like really cheap headsets, old car systems pc speakers etc
so you get an idea of what it might sound like to the usual listener
but yeah thats the point 5 people checking the tunes for shitty freq or bad stereo field i bet we can make them overall acceptable in one or two month

You know, Bud, you're full of shit though, your mixes are really tight. Powerful/clear. Last few sound like pushed a little too hard, but still.

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER
Yeah, too brickwalled. Like not the track this week, but for a couple of weeks before. Sounded like distortion on your peaks, but you could also just be playing with distortion. It sounded like limiting going too far to me.BudSpencertron wrote:haha thanks man( bit too brickwalled?)

Re: TUNA! LIVES FOREVER
yeah true might step back a little :3
but thats what i mean the wip section here is nice but its mostly like one post and than people work further on their own
but if we work hard on the side on those two tunes it would be challenging and rewarding
