Probably the only Scottish player who would get selected if they ever do that stupid UK football team thing for the Olympics. Possibly Dazza Fletcher aswell warming the bench...

Shame the rest of the Scotland squad is so pish.

Anyways, my heart goes out to the England fans (for once), that was a harsh knock-out.

And Cristiano Ronaldo is a knob-end. But we knew that already.

Also, is it just me or is Owen Hargreaves some kind of incredible football playing robot? after almost 2 hours of football I saw him making a defensive clearance, and then about 15 seconds later he was receiving a through ball 10 yards from the Portugese penalty area.

thats funny because henry dove to get frances goal.

its all relative dude.

i agree ronaldo has bitch-ish qualities, but all he's doing is taking advantage of a silly situation put forth by fifa.if i was playing and there was a record amount of yellow and red cards.i would be doing anything an everything in my power to help my team.including diving.

last time i checked he didnt get a yellow for diving throughout the tourney.

anyways...

go italy.

buffon shut out, player of the tourney IMO.

you jokin?

edit: oh in theother game. thought you were talkin bout the penalty last night

was well surprised by how the crowd reacted to ronaldo yesterday, every time he touced the ball.

think it goes to show that he isnt just a scapegoat, hes just generally unsporting and dislikable. why else would he be being booed by french fans?

stll a good footballer tho, and he didn't seem to mind all the booing

he cries in pretty much every game he loses.

I like the guy, i think of the England players Rooney, Gerrard, G Neville Ashley and Joe Cole would've all done exactly the same and we would've applauded them for help England to a win.

The problem with English football is we always look for excuses, and Gary Neville was the only player who came out and said that there were no excuses.

And after the excuses come the scapegoats: Beckham, Neville, Southgate, Ronaldo etc.

Why are the English players so untouchable??

they should be being slated for playing so badly in a major tournament there are some world class players in the team yet they failed to produce yet again.

Gerrard, Lampard, Beckham & Terry all need to stand up and be counted, they are quite happy to condemn Ronaldo yet none of them have apologised for their poor performances.

Ronaldo is not to blame for Englands exit from the world cup; its the attitude of the English public, the players and the coaching staff.

Reckon some peeps have got the wrong idea about England - they didnt play well in the World cup - though I liked the look of Joe Cole and Hargreaves. But nobody bottled it as such (very emotive term) they just werent well managed - the selector should get the best out of his players - bit like a dj getting the best out the tunes. Silly hating Ronaldo - England should learn that in most places in the world diving and acting are basic to the game - deal with it. Oh yeah - France aint Arsenal and anyway it doesnt matter cos BarÇa can shit on everyone!!!
