Re: PUT YOUR FINISHED TRACKS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
@ Cynical: Really enjoyed that, commented on soundcloud.
@ Bugsky: This track has some really nice energy, the little details keep it going really nicely. I'm not a fan of the really really high notes (most noticeable in the start of the breakdown). They are painful at the level i generally listen to music and on a big system they'd be downright dangerous. Nice work in general though.

Technically this is still a WIP, but i think it's getting closed enough to a finished article to post here.

Safe man - thanks for pointing that out, cos I totally overlooked it. Appreciate the feed.continuumdnb wrote:@ Bugsky: This track has some really nice energy, the little details keep it going really nicely. I like the vibe in this. Feeling the funky, shuffle, dub groove. I think you could improve the transition into the breakdown and it'd be nice if the 2nd drop had a bit more impact.. I like the variations and additives that come in during it later. Good stuff. I enjoyed listening.continuumdnb wrote:Soundcloud

Also gave the "follow" button a poke on soundcloud whilst I was there ;]

Had a listen to repent, really nice track overall. The note the synth plays at 1:40 sounds out of tune though... really not feeling it.Citizen2125 wrote: hey,
thanks so much for the feedback! glad you like it. I'm actually very new to producing dubstep, my other tracks are related but don't really fall into any specific genres. check them out at http://www.reverbnation.com/simonherzog if you like!
your track is great. my favorite parts are the little bell accents and the strings. I'm about to listen to some of your other stuff too!
Simon
The rest of the track is really tight though.
@busky:
Safe for the detailed feedback, and being followed is always nice

Re: PUT YOUR FINISHED TRACKS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
you're of course right on all of this...i guess i didn't explain what i was trying to say very well. let me try again:wirez wrote:When you're working in stereo and panning something all you're technically doing is turning the audio down on one channel, therefore if you pan something 100% L and you bounce the R channel, all your audio 100% panned L will be lost. If you just panned 50% L and bounced the mono R channel, you will hear the panned audio 50% quieter than you would when you heard it stereo (respectively)...KidQw3rty wrote:well, not exactly, because certain things were panned on the sequencer i record from, it was technically stereo.wirez wrote:Mono then?KidQw3rty wrote:thats a single stereo track recording
There's no such thing as a single stereo track dude, one stereo is made up of two mono tracks hard panned left and right to create one stereo track and by panning across the L/R channels all you're doing is increasing and decreasing the amount of volume on each channel, so when you bounce a stereo track as mono all it means is that things that are panned will be less audible (quieter). Look at it this way, if you're recording something in mono on a cardioid mic, the further left or right something goes from the microphone, the less of the audio is going to be recorded. The same applies in the digital world! And obviously in saying that I should mention that it requires two microphones if you want to record in stereo because you need a mic per channel.
on my sequencer, certain voices were panned left and right. i may have recorded via a mono track (it was actually a headphone output mix

I only got crappy speakers too, so not much help, but i really dig this. It does sound like a tree without leaves...like that's where the songs blowing from...in the wind. Those percussions that started off the song remind me of popcorn though. Damn you know it's good when i'm thinking of all the stuff it sounds like. Getting all emotional about a track. The vocal samples are great - sounds like a tree singing...a tree without leaves again! Something else is needed in it though. I'd probably play around with recordings until i made some kind of trippy sounding FX to loop around with.1iopen wrote:I on temporary arrangements 4now, includin the fact that i only got HiFi speakers workinso any feedback from someone with decent monitors would be useful...I wanted to bring somethin new to the party, but yeah it's all kinda ruff+ready til i get my hardware fixed. Thanx again to knell for the percussion box, can't get enuff of it

This track's also in korean language. It's about turning 40...and also about living the last 40 years really rough, working hard and getting sick of living. "BulHok" is about starting a new life at 40. A friend sang it at a party and i recorded it with a mobile recorder and made this.

Hey man, had a listen to your tracks. I liked the one you posted rather than the one in your signature. Really liked the drop, reminded me on the older style of dubstep which is really cool. Not sure about the animal samples they sound a bit poor quality? But thats just my opinion. I loved how the track flowed though, good stuff man, if you kept movin in this direction it would be sweet as its a little different to the popular stuff atm. Keep it up!thierry_le_dj wrote:Soundcloud Safari Dub 320 on soundcloud!!

Hey guys, after doing a lot of crazy harsh stuff I thought I'd go back to trying something a bit more mellow again. I decided against acapella samples this time and recorded myself and my girlfriend singin. It's kinda trancy dubstep.

Stay well people, enjoy!

Hey man first of all i think your percussion sounds really clear and clean, definitely diggin the intro and the style, especially if its only your third finished track. props. The wobble is cool man i would say try to make more alternates for your synth fx that you had come in during the drop. The wobble sounds good but the track sounds kind of empty as if lacking a melody, i like the FX (bitcrusher i think?) on the wobble though, im def gonna find you on soundcloud and keep an eye out

Re: PUT YOUR FINISHED TRACKS HERE FOR FEEDBACK.
What's up everyone.
This is the first Dubstep track I've made.
Titled "Shamwahh"
Let me know what you think. What could be done differently. Other such thing.
Anything would help. Thanks.
