thta track sounds nice, i think it would roll better if you added a different hat pattern or make them louder at 1.22, or maybe a ride or something, to really make it nod your head. try some distortion on the bassline aswell, either that or make it completely sub. this is all my opinion, just to try it out. i love the sample btw.

@ cloak and dagger
that is sick!!! reminds of flylo alot, the melodies are too sick, drums are smooth. i really like this, big up!

Well, Ive finally decided I need to put this tune down and call it a day. Ive been tweaking this thing and dicking around with it for bloomin' ages, and I finally got to something I was happy with and need to stop playing lol Keep thinking of things to change, but need to stop...

Anyhoo, I ended up being really happy with it. Got the finished article up on me soundcloud here:

Soundcloud

I think ive over listened it too, some bits just dont seem "right" anymore...but yeah would love to hear anything like that, especially keen to hear what people might have to say about the end. Spent a good while learning my way around some synths better, trying to get something along the lines of a growl in the mix! Never really make anything like that, but it felt like the tune needed it...

An impressive peice of work there, all the subtle changes and switch ups makes me think its taken you a coiple of weeks to get it all sitting right (although your probs gonna say you knocked it out in an evening now!)

All the buildup, work on the vocal, bubbly sounding synths are amazing - the riser thing happening in the drop is one of the best things I've heard since I've been browsing this forum and the bass itself was lilke being eaten alive all the gurgles and guttural sounds in there.

Only bad thing I can say is that the siren gets annoying in the break in the middle, sits amazing with the bass and should only be played with it (the panning on it works well with the straight up and down bass). Also the ending doesnt really feel like one, seems like there should be another drop after it but its no biggie.
thanks man really helpful feedback appreciate that. someone else mentioned the siren. the funny thing is is that its not actually a siren its what happens when you put a shit load of feedback plug ins onto one channel haha the parts where there is no siren is where the plug ins are by passed. it took me 3 evenings if you wanted to know lol. do u hav any tunes for feedback?

No worries man thats siren just gets a bit annoying thats all - automation of the channel input/output faders would remove it surely?

I've got a track that was posted about 3 posts after I reviewed yours called Dea don Arrival that I'm looking for feedback on if you wouldn't mind - http://soundcloud.com/ses-1/dead-on-arrival

cool track, that main synth was real nice. could have benefitted from a little more of that synth line that came in at the end...maybe try to get it to sound like a melodica 4 tr3w dub feel.

nice track, the space sounds make it...maybe try thickening the main voice, or detuning it, adding a few doubled voices at different semitone intervals. good sound though.

Interesting, i really like the experimental vibe of this, your drums are great.

Might turn down that kick at 2.45 though, try massively lowpassing then sticking a bit of verb on it to try and get that heartbeat sound i think you were going for, at it's just a bit too in your face for a breakdown.
