i just received my first discogs order, it came really well packaged, records were even in plastic sleeves, there was even a thank-you note and that.
it's small shit which i'm sure other's here (rather than people i actually know) would appreciate too, but it legitimately just made me happy.

i didnt get into dubstep til about 2008 admittedly but i think the stuff from 04-06 sounds loads fresher than a lot of stuff being made today
The only genre i've ever had the same level of interest with was jungle/dnb so thats what im comparing it with, but given a mix of early dubstep and early dnb i know which will hold my interest for longer
Maybe i just rinsed those early dubstep tunes a bit too much...

pre 04 stuff is also awesome. dat dark garage. i think all the old stuff has aged well tbh. its just got more groove

I think a lot of early dubstep/dark garage sounds like it hasn't aged well when you listen to it at home (and for me personally it doesn't evoke any feelings of nostalgia like dnb - cos I didn't even know about dubstep back in the day, or like garage) but in front of a proper crowd who might not know the music, it stands up very fuckin well
