Was trying to have a bit of a sit down then Joe dropped it and had to get back up again, place went off and it got a pull up.

Got to say it was vibes, only decided to go at 11:30 and got in at 1:30 just in time for mala b2b Loefah, Disco Rekkah sounded weighty on the system, that tune needs to be heard on something large.

Joe nice's mixing was on point and rolled out some sick tunes, nice to see a DJ really enjoying and interacting, was getting alittle cheifed at the guilty rewinds, that tune with the singing on that got pulled up 3 times was jarring me by the end.

Benga's set was sick, especially the first 6 tunes that got pulled, but by about twenty past five i was in a sorry state and left, only to walk to waterloo directly from mass.

Also big-ups the possessed girl who kept cackling in a primal, tribal, demonic way dancing in every ones faces, my guess it was a ket casuality, was awkward and hilarious.

Joe Nice was just too big. There must be laws.

(While were here, quick artist/name check on the tune that can only be described as "fifty...thousand...watts")

What a hangover I had the next morning. Had a fucking HELL of a time trying to get back to italy...FUCK stansted. Nearly missed my flight from the bus/traffic. What a shit airport. Fucking hell, I was running thru the airport in my socks trying to get me shoes on doing 30 mph. Absolute hell.

Still, I remember more good shit from the night then my shit trip back. Anyone ID that Joe nice tune that dropped "ON DUBPLATE ONLY" in the middle?

Cyrus was too big. Youngsta's mixing had me floored. Post up some photos people, want to see em. I know they're out there fucking paparazzi elbowing around me for half the night; we didnt need a strobe light w all the flash photography popping off! Actually it was pretty annoying.

And that fucking chick cackling/screaming?!?! Jesus. She had fun.

what a night ...my goodness !

i got home late last night and all i could do was reflect -- and sleep.

My thoughts:

1. SET OF THE NIGHT: Hands down...Cyrus. Just when i thought i knew about tunes....Cyrus pulled the wool over my eyes -- and, as i'm reading the responses on this thread....he did the same to everyone else in the room. MASSIVE.

2. Watching Youngsta mix is an absolute joy. No one puts two tunes together better than Yunx. NO ONE. He has mixing down to a science. Seriously. A science. Ph.D business. He's a human metronome. Task is a mastermind.

3. Benga. When was the last time anyone started a set and the first SIX tunes got pulled up? So many tunes -- all of them were monsters. BIG UP !

4. HENY G. - Another monster set. He really set the tone for the night. All the DJ's had to have their A game....better yet.....A+ game....really....A++ game.

5. DMZ - Their level of excellence never ceases to amaze me. DMZ & Pokes is a match made in heaven. So many tunes -- so many sounds. All night long. How big is LEARN? IT'S YOURS? This is such an important night for the community and the sound. I'm so thankful to them for the opportunity to represent each and everytime i come over. THANK YOU.
Big battery business !!

6. Crazy D. Is there a happier sound than hearing Crazy D on the mic? WOW !

I love the city, people and the sound. Thanks to all that bigged me up in the venue and on line. It's appreciated and i know the love is real.

Shouts to:
Kode 9
Spaceape
Georgie -- great seeing you again!
Chef
Seamus
Unlikely and Leticia
The Others - told you your tunes would go over big !
Deep Thought
Leo from Italy.
Shy
Orson from Germany! It's always lovely to see you bro. Hopefully, there wont be another 8 month wait.
Scientist
Geiom
Mary Anne Hobbes
Kromestar. Good to finally meet you bro !
Walsh
Jamie Vex'D
NType
Deapoh
Martin Clark
...

extra shouts to:
1. Quiet Storm. Cheers for the footage and everything else. you're the man.

2. Distance - thanks for looking after me this weekend. No joke. You're a champion among champions.

Back to bed....

p.s. - 3 stateside tunes were played:
1. Matty G - 50000 Watts (that was the first tune)
2. Matty G - War Remix (that was the last tune)
3. Juju - Punks. I cant really describe this one. It's just big.

i also played LWiz - Mary Jane.

that's 4 non-UK tunes in a set that was maybe 15 tunes deep (including all the pullups).

The virus is spreading.....
