Just thought i'd bump this and say I watched a film called The Wave today (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1063669/) and its bloody brilliant, got my creative juices flowing again cause it was so far from production I think I could of gotten from today!

If I am honest, last time I watched a English film was about .. 6 months ago haha...I really dislike hollywood cinema, British movies are to far and few between - gotta draw for the foreign cinema!

I quiet enjoyed watching 'Ironman 1' last night. It's not particularly intelligent, but as far as formulaic Hollywood films go its enjoysble enough.

Rewatched 'Planes, Trains and Automobiles' t'other night too. Cheesy wholesome 80ies caper before Macaulay Culkin films started dominating that sector.

Can't go wrong watching the 'man with no name trilogy' either btw!

All quality (haven't seen Pusher mind), especially Old Boy (the whole vengeance trilogy is good, that one is the best though).

Irreversible is pretty heavy. Gaspar Noe doesn't shy away from anything in that film. Can be an uncomfortable watch... opening scene is nasty too, great FX work.

If you are going to watch A Serbian Film, get the uncut version. The BBFC have butchered the UK release, and compromised the directors vision in the process. Good film though. Not for the faint hearted.

Depends what you are after I guess, Personally I like to feel something when watching films, and I find horror the best genre for that. If you just want to watch something and lose yourself for a couple hours, almost all the films mentioned have merit.
