Re: skream uses what?
I was talking to Basic about Skream the other night, I think he's one of the only people who simultaneously helped pioneer the genre as we know it today, and is carrying on the evolution with his new album. One of the best producers there is imo....the majority of people don't look beyond "In for the Kill" though. Which is incidently one of my favourite tracks ever.

i agree that he helped pioneer the genre. but im not sure his new album is pioneering. i mean, technically speaking, there isnt anything on there that we havent heard before and some of the synth sounds are aboslute cack. and speaking personally, the songs are all a bit shit.jaydot wrote:I was talking to Basic about Skream the other night, I think he's one of the only people who simultaneously helped pioneer the genre as we know it today, and is carrying on the evolution with his new album. that being said, most of his singles are fucking ridiculous, especially his darker stuff. oh, and all the skreamisms are pretty faultless too.

I like his new album and think it's quite refreshing...in the sense that it's pretty uplifting, the synths may be a bit "cheesy" or whatever but for me they create the vibe. I'm going to listen to the full album in a minute and I'll post my verdict again.samkablaam wrote:i agree that he helped pioneer the genre. but im not sure his new album is pioneering. i mean, technically speaking, there isnt anything on there that we havent heard before and some of the synth sounds are aboslute cack. and speaking personally, the songs are all a bit shit.jaydot wrote:I was talking to Basic about Skream the other night, I think he's one of the only people who simultaneously helped pioneer the genre as we know it today, and is carrying on the evolution with his new album.
