Nothing is able to kill dubstep, not even the purists of the genre :i:

I disagree. I've used file sharing to get plenty of dubstep, if it wasn't for filesharing I wouldn't have heard a lot of incredible music and wouldn't have the love for dubstep I have at the moment.
So if it wasn't for filesharing, i wouldn't have spent the large amount of money i have spent on dubstep artists i like, because i wouldn't have heard of them.
Actually, if it wasn't for File Sharing I wouldn't have any dubstep, and wouldn't be able to start a dubstep night in Indonesia.

The MP3 download sites.. Juno, iTunes, Beatport, etc.. do not accept Indonesian credit cards. If you try to import vinyl or CDs they get held by customs.. and they refuse to release them unless you pay an exorbitant bribe. We only have mainstream CD stores that sell top 40 and not really anything else.. certainly not Dubstep or DnB.

The only sites that accept Indonesian credit card payments are Boomkat and Chemical. So they're the only two I can buy tunes from..

We only have one dubstep night, which I just started a few weeks back... and in order for it to survive we need file sharing..

If I can add something... Brostep is definitely killing Dubstep..

Oh, and by the way.. Luke Envoy used to be a DnB artist... but his tunes are nice, no? :P

Can I nominate this for the most pointless, unconstructive thread on the forum? Stop whining.

(Although it has produced some amusing posts).

Moaning about what's killing 'the scene' is just so negative. Things move on. Holding on to things forever is just wasted energy.

lol Loefah used to produce DNB some of u guys are so full of shit - the whole dubstep scene is spawned from DNB/jungle all the main artists have been into DNB at some point even if they're not into it now just bcos some of them never had a release doesn't mean they haven't produced it! It was some of those guys that got me really into DNB in the first place for fucks sake!!

gentleman please, if we can't agree on what's killing dubstep, how can we hope to stop it! you can't fight what you can't agree exists in the first place. so lets stop this bickering and finish the list of things that are killing dubstep so we can then systematically destroy those things, save dubstep, and by doing so, save the world. agreed?

Narrow minded idiots who thinks dubstep should be no more than beats and bass is killing dubstep, take it easy dudes..
i agree wobbles, brostep and similiar isn't exactly very exciting all the time, but the majority of people moaning about it, just does it because it isnt their cup of tea, and if thats the case, then shut the funk up..

really?

martyn, breakage, peverelist and kryptic minds just to name a few

also i think most of us loved jungle back in the day... big inspiration to people like mala, burial, and zomby according to interviews
true but thats jungle and not drum and bass
and i think i like one martyn song and i didnt know peverelist made dnb but i stand by my comment
to conclude, i think noel edmonds is killing dubstep, but hey thats just me
