Mosca - Square One
Omar S - Lift Him Up
Motor City Drum Ensemble - Raw Cuts 6
Deadboy - If U Want Me
Martin Kemp - After The Night
Ghosts On Tape - Predator Mode (Roska RMX)
Martyn - Elden Street

... can think of a lot more too, will leave it at that. I think in terms of bangers Square One takes no prisoners.

no way i can choose 3 personal favs.

but the tunes that defined dance music in 2009 (in the UK anyway) are surely:

joker - digidesign
joy orb - hyph mngo
tempz - next hype
fuzzy logic - in the morning

PS just listened to that florence/xx thing for the first time and don't get what the fuss is about at all, found it kind of annoying

lol. it's pretty tough to make an end-of-year list that isn't really just a august-december list.

no way I can do three tunes, too many heaters

but I'll do five artists who made 2009 a year to remember for me:

L-Vis 1990
Untold
Julio Bashmore
Joy Orbison
Roska

Thinking about it this year has been really good for music. A lot of creativity and bangers - and creative bangers. I'm fucked so I dunno if that makes any sense. It sounds like an issue of zoo featuring artists with their norks out.

House has been key.

i dont mean to kane out boomkat because they are a good record store and perhaps that comment was a bit generalised as they have led me to some good music.
