I don't think its jelousy I just think he could have spent his money so much better and had much more equipment including hardware and mixers and monitors with an adequate computer that could handle anything without that overkill.

OSX 10.6 supports up to something like 16TB, so yeah. It would be used for CPU intensive stuff like compiling code, rendering CG, gaming etc. so it's not completely overkill (just mostly). My complaint is that he paid about 3x too much for in buy having it pre-installed by Apple rather than doing it himself.
