Totally forgot about the new series and downloaded it last night... watched this one and the first one about the innauguration. I reckon that's two of the best Boondocks I've ever seen!

I just remembered how good this show was. Any ninjas watch it?

It fell off a bit in the 3rd season, but when it was good it was really fucking good.

I actually have some of the comics too, shuffle. Definitely quality, sharper writing than on the show. Still love the show though.

Show is good, comic is GOAT. The nature of TV makes it hard for the show to do the recent events coverage that made the comic so good.

i dont even think it had so much to do with coverage, because the first season just made a lot of good general social commentaries. the passion of reverend ruckus is incredible, but even that episode where they go back to chicago was done really well, and not really "funny".

the issues just didn't hit as hard afterwards. i guess it was a lot more satire but idk.
