Mate I mission down to Dmz every 2 months, I drive me and my mates and stay sobre all night then drive back at 4/5/6 in the morning.

This really.
Its only about 4 hours each way for me, but there was about a 2 year period where I went to every dmz on the coach (and a mate of mine did the same thing, but with a 20 hour round trip on the megabus). And guess what? If you made the trip, got lucky and heard what you were after, its going to be (for me anyway) one of the best memories of your life...and youve used the word "sad" to describe the situation :? Sorry, nope, doesnt work for me.
Alternate option - instead of complaining (i know thats a strong word...but whatever) that these artists arent going to play where you are, make it happen yourself!

i have to hand it to those who make the mission down. pure dedication, and it can payoff.

most artists take bookings all over the country and even the world these days. there must be a chance where they play in a city near you, and if there isnt then promoters and people involved need to make the effort to get them down. after that its just down to whether you go. its understandable why they keep some exclusivity, because it makes it more worth going.

Some of you are complaining that you cant make it down to a party thats 4 or 5 hours drive?
Consider what its like being 12 hours on a plane away from a dmz party...

or 24. :)

there's usually a fairly big overseas crew too, a lot of whom flew over just for dmz ... i remember a load of finns at one point ended up wandering around london at about 8am the next day trying to stay awake for their flight back.

not really...a 500 pound round trip is sad...

but at the same time it is not at all...i've still never made a dmz proper but the bass at FWD>> and Exodus were worth the ridiculous amounts i spent getting to them...

why?

Mala rarely releases anyway so hes not gna release a vip

Plus I think Vips are a good surprise live but I think some tunes don't need to be remixed or viped it kills the soul of the original beat

but still it went off at Dmz

Big up to Magic Man Mala
Yea i mean, remember 10 dread commandments v.i.p?

I'm pretty lucky, when DMZ roll into town it's a 20 minute walk

Can understand people's frustrations though tbh, they are pretty rare nights and sometimes you turn out and the tune you're after isn't played, or you haven't got the money, or you have responsibilities elsewhere and so it's maybe 4 months before you'll get a shot to get out to one. But it does make it that bit more special when you do get out, and you do get to hear an exclusive - possibly spun by the man/woman themselves on a system which (in most cases) blows your own out of the water.

In any case more dubs need to get released, tanning set rips is depressing.

can't understand why they wouldn't release this as well if they feel so.
