Chris Barnes before he became a hippy. My favourite Vinyl, for artwork and music
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

Diplo is total shit and Major Lazer is garbage so I guess they go hand in hand.

IMO Bogore's music is so offensive I think it just provokes hate.It does suprise me how popular he is, I guess that just shows how much music taste can vary..! Personally, playing a track like this on repeat would be torture:

Each to their own though!

'the fvck u talkin about "haters gonna hate"? looks like honest analyzing to me. im sure a lot of people are trying to like this album but it seems like he's lost his steam. Nympho is a bad attempt at doing another Icecream. And can someone tell him to stop using his younger sister in these sex ballads of his, its weird. wouldn't be surprised if he was fuckin her. "yekshemesh!" the diplo tune is an attempt at something different, but it blows. they obviously dont work well together. and this one "Thoughts".... what were you thinking man? Sounds like its in a different time signature or something, madd off-beat. definitely a bad attempt at something, i dont know what. For the record I am not a borgore hater, he is a dick personally, but I like some of his earlier music. But to claim that he created tear-out style, and thats what he's doing with the title, is pretty outlandish. btw he's been trying to sell that "borgore ruined dubstep" shit for years. he was making the stickers in '08
Haters said he ruined dubstep, he embraced it rather than try to conform. I have little love for the man's music, but he's got a unique sound and he deserves props for sticking with it.
I dunno, maybe this is true for his older stuff but the track linked at the beginning of the thread seems like a more obvious attempt to do something more palatable, as other have said, almost Purple Sound-esque. To be honest though, (unless this is an early version) I'm just surprised something so badly mastered and produced is gonna get put out by a label.
I wasn't referring specifically to the song that was posted. OP said the other tracks on the EP were "ketamin fuelled pig noise", so I think it's safe to say that Borgore is still Borgore.
yeah the other tracks on the EP are standard borgore, brash, obvious, and at points horrible, BUT i do think he is going for something a bit different on the last track and its the same with his remix of passion pit, i don't hate it, at least it doesn't have those ridiculous warped snarls in it. Also, the youtube clip isn't a finished version, having listened to it in 320 it is properly mastered and produced. NEVER TRUST YOUTUBE.
yes i know very few people like his music but i'm just saying that at least he is trying something a little bit different, albeit not very well

Ah, fair-dos, I take back that bit then. I thought this was all set to come out, so the tunes would be pretty finished but

Why did I press play? What's he trying to do here exactly?

Also before one of his fans jumps on this saying "At least he's trying his own thing", he clearly isn't.

What's hilarious is that you think you can safely sya what he is trying to do. Criticising an artist is like asking why the sky is blue.

Some of you people look really dumb right now. give the guy a break ! He's making f0cking music and releasing it world wide. Who cares if you don't like it or not. By coming on here and bashing him like some kind of pissed 10 year old just makes all of you look like a bunch of whiny bitches. Like some kind of Gallery of crows hackling about nothing at all ! If you dont like it change tha damned channel. Expressing your childish fears, bullshit jealousy and hatred on here is making ya'll look pathetic.

Never thought Borgore would get so much hate, then again, from all I read here everyone hates everything. I personally like Borgore but his tunes are either really good, or damn right god awful. For example, I think his Sleepyhead remix is a genius spin on the original whereas I wish I'd NEVER heard his remix of Woo Boost. His raps make me cringe, he sounds all over the place. I know, we can get instrumentals but surely in this internet age the man Borgore himself should look at the feedback and just not rap ever again.

Im going to throw my unique two cents here

So Borgore was in Montreal last night. I am close to the promoter for Borgore's Ottawa show tonight and we decided to come up and see him in Montreal a night early. We also are his ride to Ottawa, so I will be hanging out with the guy all day today. Now there are many different factors on which to judge an artist. A lot of the remarks I have seen here have been for the most part bashing him because they arent a fan of his style. Ok thats cook. I really hate country music. But i dont go around hating on every country atrist because I think that kind of music sounds like S***. Last night I seen a over-capacity venue where Borgore came in and tore the place down. He killed it. In a good way I mean. He had everyone in the venue screaming with delight at every drop, and singing along to all his lyrics. After his set I was right beside him as half the people there came to get an autograph or shake his hand. He didnt get a chance to sit down and relax for almost 45 mins after he played his last track.

Yes he played some metal. I kinda enjoyed it. I never heard anyone drop metal in the middle of a dub set before. I have heard Drum and Bass, Fidget, and Hardstyle mixed into a dub set but never metal. It was fresh imo. And he even climbed over the decks and crowdsurfed. In all honesty it was one of the best shows I have ever been to. And i have seen a lot of big talent.

I got to hear some of his new shit directly off his laptop. What you guys are playing off youtube is a shittly quality leak of that, quite possibly even unfinished copies.

Now before eveyone here trys to write this off as I am a really big fan of his, I am not a Borgore fan at all. I dont personally like the vast majority of his songs. I will never play one of his tracks when I am behind the decks. The kind of dubstep he produces isnt my thing at all. However, being a musician, I realize that even though its not for me, his tracks are actually well produced.

Maybe some of you seem to think otherwise, but when i break down one of his tracks bit by bit and look at the music itself, and not what my taste in it happens to be, It looks to me to be well made. It's not the same samples and notes in the same order over and over for the entire lengh of the song minus the intro and a 15 second breakdown, unlike half the dubstep people have been sending me recently.

As for his lyrics, He is spitting some of the most obscene, vulgar, sexist, and offencive rhymes in music as a whole, period. Yes i under stand why some people might not enjoy it. But after meeting him and getting to know him a bit, I have a little more insight as well as a more informed opinion on what he does, then most people around the world can say. Sometimes people, you just have to make the most riddiculous, "I cant belive he actually just said that, that's discusting, as if he is putting those kind of remarks in his music " kind of lyrics if you want your music to be exactly that, riddiculous. He is one of very few people with the guts to put that shit in his music, and for that I respect him more than I do artists that i believe make better dubstep.

lets face it

His tracks are all original (nobody else in dubstep has a sound like him)
His tracks are also very controvercial (meaning like them or not, you are still talking about them. Publicity like that is GOLD)
He knows how to work a crowd
And to top it all off im pretty sure a lot of you wish that when you play a venue, you have every girl in the place wanting your autograph, or a picture with you, or to even get you to give them props, or just even say hi to them. You know that song of his, "All these bitches wanna lick my ice cream!!". Well guess what? All those bitches ACTUALLY DO want to lick his ice cream. I seen it with my own eyes. Believe me.

Im not saying he is perfect or that he is the best, There were some things i wasnt impressed with as well, but I dont think the bashing being done here is needed. just because you dont like something doenst mean it sucks. If you think he should do something differently why dont you send him an email and give him some "CONSTRUCTIVE critisism". Tell him what you think he could do to improve his music.

Hahaha.... I have pretty much been hanging out with him for the last 24 hours. So I have gained a little insight on his motivations and believe me he is not like that at all. He is one of the nicest, laid back, chill headliners I have ever met. You need to get a sence of humour if you want to understand what Borgore is all about. The entire time he has been here, it has been nonstep amazing times.

dude... congrats you took the letters right out of my keyboard on everything I was about to type. I also like 16 bit's remix of Foes but I find the original to be obnoxious as hell.
