Big up Rinse management, getting this licence has taken over 15 years, of which I'm proud to have been a part of for the last 7 years
too fucking right man!

out to everyone from the old days that would be near enough to the transmitters to sit and record the sets. to all of us out side of london, that lived vicariously through these now historic archives, we can't thank you enough. i'm looking at thc, grand, boomnoise, deapoh, and all the others. there's an era of music imprinted on our hearts and craniums, and Rinse was responsible for that. They were fully 10 years ahead of everyone else on radio! legends!

Also, what's the bandwidth gonna be on this bad boy?

Only gonna eb available in London or the whole of the UK?
Er it doesn't work like internet radios. You just need one transmitter, anyone can pick up the signal.

BUT RINSE BEING LEGAL NOW, DOES THIS MEAN MANS GOING TO GET MONEY FROM PRS COS THEY PLAYIN MY TUNES AND TING?

Nah probably not, they're a bunch of shady people anyway so probably have some sort of license that means they can do a uni radio or some shit but will just turn up the wattage until Ofcom complain...

I love what Oneman said "funny how Rinse turns legal at 16"....

But this is the biggest day this year, jokes aside. Much struggling and battles paid off... bigups Geeneus and all the fam!!

Was some hater on FaceBook saying it would be shit like Kiss. But Kiss ain't shit, is it? DJ Hype's show, Frost's show.. and now Hatcha's show ain't shit. You can't hate on something this good.. and this momentous for the genre, regardless of being legal or no.

Kool FM ain't legal.. but the toons they play are pretty dire. So quality ain't synonymous with being "underground".. and being underground ain't synonymous with being unlicensed.

Big this up ad infinitum. :z: :z:

I didn't even realise it was pirate  hopefully Leeds can pull off the same with Radio Frequency for a good outcome!

It is quite amazing how they have managed to slide seamlessly into legality, I have to say...

Regarding the Kiss comparisons, nobody's saying Kiss is all rubbish, but the change between their identity in the pirate days and the slicker commercial version was PRETTY drastic...
