cd, I implore you to try ohmicide. I have searched for years for vst distortion that I actually like. I do like scream a lot, but it's not enough to work in that environment. Ohmicide has impressed me greatly, far more than anything else I've ever used.

I used camel crusher on an office type reaper setup. And I've used camel phat. The distortion section is very good in there. And the band pass filter is pretty good. It's variable state filter I've never gotten really down with though.

But Ohmicide, imo the best bit of software those guys have made, and the king of all vst distortions for me.

Think your right imo, not found many uses for it except fuzzing guitars and the like. Btw have you tried Camel crusher? its free and i really like the sound of the tube distortion on it.
Gotta admit I agree with this. Camel Crusher is amazing. Drums sound sexy when pushed through this bad boy.

I also like the way Dep says it in his Youtube tutorials. "Camel Cruussha".

You know I tried it once, and it seemed really over the top and made all of my shit sound super screechy and resonant. To be fair though, I was using it as an insert (as I used to use Scream) and I had no idea how to use it properly, so I put it down to that instead of the actual ability of the plugin. I'll have to give it another shot one of these days...

All kinds of mix control, individual bands, and a master. You can use it subtly as an insert. It is somewhat of a nuanced, involved plug, granted. I don't like any of their ui's, to tell you the truth, but the sounds man, unmatched in vstland, imo.

yeah i hate their GUIs...I have that free plugin of theirs, I think it's called Frohmage? Anyway, I always learn what the controls do and then forget it all the next time I want to use it...and the manual is online, but my studio computer isn't hooked up to the internet...man that really annoys me :u:
