Re: RBMA - Soundclash 2
Great night in all. Channel One took it, Skream & Benga came a very close 2nd.
Skream & Benga unfortunately did what I predicted and played a bit of a cheese fest, lots of Doctor P type shit. Still lots of great tunes though, but Katie B at a clash doesn't wash I'm afraid. Shame considering what amazing tunes these guys have made. Pokes was a badman as always.
I thought Metalheads played a better set that last year, many classic tunes. Cheeky tactics though playing Benga's Night mashed up with Nirvana!
Soul jazz I thought were sick and played the best selection of tunes. But nobody voted for them as I don't think many people knew who they were.
Channel One deserved to win it, they stuck to their sound and great vibes.
A bitch getting in to work today, feel like death. Worth it though.

Re: RBMA - Soundclash 2
Was an awesome night, if they played less magnetic man and more of their aggy business I think they woulda completely murked it! But there seemed to be only 2 competing sounds last night. Pokes and Nomad were classic. And there was 1 tune that had all their names at the start of it cant remember what it was though?
Was pretty low when the other camp played tunes from skream & benga though, then they got called out for it by skream though which was funny
Skream to channel one soundsystem (im pretty sure) "You made classics, but now we make classics" was hilarious.
All the soundsystems had proper bassweight aswell.

Re: RBMA - Soundclash 2
nah that was at metalheadz... quote of the night was definitely mikey dread talking about running sound for 28 years, cussing out skream, benga and pokes for their behaviour and asking them where they'd be in 20 years... then dropping this on dubplate... murrrdaaaah!cpt.pollution wrote:Was an awesome night, if they played less magnetic man and more of their aggy business I think they woulda completely murked it! Innocence intro into Sweet Shop.
But whatever, there was a crowd to play to and try and win over, not a room full of chin strokers.
All the other systems played all the magnetic man and katy b tunes except Perfect Stranger. Son I am dissapoint. What does it say about their own sound if they have to draw for their opponents tunes...

Re: RBMA - Soundclash 2
There was a special of Hard aswell shy fx played that was aimed at skream and benga and a special of witness the fitness aimed at them too. Metalheadz had it over skream and benga by far the amount of people booing skream and benga was unreal. GQ was tearing into Nomad hard. Was a pretty bad look for nomad when he sneaked onto Channel One stage and stood at the front pretending to yawn. Was suprised no one called him out on it. Out of all the soundsystems again skream and benga's sounded awful. You could barely hear pokes. With Channel One's NCA system sounding toughest.
Re: RBMA - Soundclash 2
There's something very retarded about the Metalheadz Soundsystem playing Dubstep....

Anyone else catch the exclusive dubplate from Snoop Dogg for Skream and Benga?
Big in the game.

Re: RBMA - Soundclash 2
MetalHeadz sounded crackly?? They went to the biggest PA company (Britannia Row) in Europe to provide for them, and sounded Crackly? really? how does that happen. lol. Was it better than the 1st one?
