Anyone hop right into dubstep, or R U from another scene?

I'm interested in a lot of different music. I like diversity.
Electronic music:
Electro-industrial and experimental eventually led me to know IDM and Breakcore, noise an EBM. Psytrance eventually got to be my favorite dance party music, but I still had a preference for deeper and slower music like ambient, psybient, trip-hop, etc. Strangely, I got into Jungle and DnB only after I discovered Dubstep (except for the more experimental artists like Squarepusher or more know artists like Amon Tobin).
Bands:
At the same time, you can find on my ipod things as varied as Gothic Rock and Country, Doom metal and psychedelic pop, electro pop, and pop music. Neo Folk, Freak Folk, Industrial (real shits like Throbbing Gristle), and New Age, alternative rock and punk are also some of the things I like.
When I found Dubstep, I felt like I found the dance music I had been looking for all my life: It can be very experimental, and can mix both the weird side of psychedelic music, the intelligence of IDM, the agressivity of Industrial music (see Milanese). The fact that it is downtempo is a major +, since I generally find downtempo dance music deeper than faster music.
