Now I am off to buy me some nuggets.

I'd guess more people die from chemicals in those nuggets than chemicals in a vaccine.

Ronald Mc Donald trained in Pakistan I heard once. Devious fella

Yeah, I'll take that over (a completely unproven and substantiated link to) ADHD ANYDAY!
yeah well that's your problem
i realise there are far better ways of preventing illness than injecting yourself full of a load of bullshit just because that's what the people who make said bulllshit, and sell it to you say is the best idea lol

i think that's natural selection in action

sorry, do you have personal experience of this?
I've read books written by THE MAN

Oh, and seen the monuments to the plague dead in London... a disease now ERADICATED ON OUR SOIL.

i'm not aware of a vaccine against bubonic plague
Plague was eradicated through more primitive means, but still science. I imagine someone equally luminent as yourself called it witchcraft.

It was just an example of yet another benefit you have living here. Plague still exists on the planet... just not near many humans and certainly not on our island (I remember a case in Canada a decade or so back).

plague was not eradicated by vaccination, and is still here in small quantities

kind of like polio et al

interestingly the catholic church labelled cats the devil's agents around the time of the plague, causing people to get rid of a natural deterrent from the disease by mass culling of cats

ADHD is often over-diagnosed, but it exists nonetheless. Autism isn't 'on the rise', our diagnostic tools are better now than they were 150 years ago. Back then everyone was either 'normal' or 'insane' and was either killed, banished or put in jail if they were the latter. Even just a few decades ago, Asperger was called 'childhood schizophrenia' and 'borderline personality disorder' was considered 'borderline schizophrenia', hence the name. But since then, our understanding of autism and mental disorders has greatly increased. Though I do believe we're not quite there yet and need to be a bit more cautious with labels.

Sometimes, people do get unnecessary labels. Some psychiatrists truly are gung-ho on sticking a label onto you without any proper testing and if you experience that, the first thing you gotta do is switch psychiatrists. Stat. But that's truly not always the case and very few mental health patients go through only a single psychiatrist.

Asthma and allergies have both been linked to things like pollution.

Me too. I have a massively lower chance of being infertile due to disease than a man born in my situation a century ago. The chances are, we're all doing rather nicely in the survival of the fittest thanks to vaccination programmes.

Also, I don't think Edward Jenner had much of a vested interest in corporate vaccination. I get my medicine through public healthcare, which is the most reliable way I can think of. It's the only way I don't have to *directly* deal with someone making a profit - unlike people who rely on homeopathy for instance, also a massive industry.

I don't approve of everything Big Pharma does, but I'm fucking glad the infrastructure exists to vaccinate as many people as we manage.

I've also never seen any evidence that actually concluded that vaccinations were harming the population, especially not harming them more than they would otherwise be. Perhaps you can supply some? I doubt that, somehow... I imagine you're relying on words written by unqualified buffoons on the Internet. I'll trust Doctors over that, but if you've got something good... bring it...

you mean there's some doctors who have say vaccinations are harmful, and the internet makes it sound like more doctors have said that than truely have.

The internet when it comes to government doing harm is like asking Jay from the inbetweeners how many people he's fucked.

You're also lumping the idea of seasonal vaccinations (low mortality rate) versus pandemics (insanely high mortality rate)

You are far more likely to contract measles and have life altering disabilities from being un-vaccinated than you are from taking a vaccination. Unless 40 million people are having severe complications from the measles vaccine, it is far more intelligent to take the vaccine over running the risk.

I understand playing devils advocate for the sake of playing devils advocate. But this is like arguing that a newspaper deflects rain as effectively as an umbrella.

I know that the incidence of these disorders being diagnosed is increasing. And there's an increasing amount of evidence that these disorders are genetic in origin...
Do you really think there's a chemical in this world that can cause a singular genetic alteration across all the cells of a human body?

hackman wrote:asthma, ... allergies are on the rise
yes. and so is air pollution... usually people try to use air pollution when offering explanations for increasing incidence of asthma and allergy diagnoses .... because there is SOME REASON to believe that their correlation might be significant.
also, you can develop asthma at any point in your life. Ever hear of a 30-year old suddenly developing autism?

to reject the whole idea of vaccination is just as retarded as to accept all vaccination campaigns without discerning between hoaxes like the swine flu and the real deal. but when you are a drooling retarded you can only think in small twitts like "vaccines=good" or "vaccines=bad"

vaccines and medicine and medication were, are and will be used beyond their declared purpose on occasions, and their advertising is misleading and incomplete most of the times. that's true documented facts.

Cos i'm not being funny but its all well and good saying that vaccines are bad and that but i am pretty certain that a lot people are gonna die needlessly without them....

Unfortunately conspiracy theorists have lots of 'valid questions', but are a little scant when it comes to offering anyone any practical advice.

Until they work out how to stave off a Measles infection by wearing hemp pants, I think we'll need to stick to getting our protection from Wormtongue.
