new SNH rules *NSFW*

i always hate when stuff like this happens. so bass hertz amongst others pushes some people's buttons, probably badger's buttons quite a bit it seems from an objective perspective. but all this tightening of what comes and goes is really not what I thought the SNH was about. its all in fun. in any thread i usually say my piece and then leave it be, because arguing about politics or just changing other's opinions about anything really is incredibly difficult to do over an internet forum, and you usually sound like an asshole while doing it. its just not the right setting.

censorship is really such a embarrassing thing.

if the tits and ass were such a prob they would have been fixed a long time ago dont you think? now shit is getting tightened? smells funny.

things were getting tightened anyway, it just happened to coincide with bass hertz acting like a child. what forum do you know other than 4chan that has no rules? forum rules are not the same thing as censorship and rules are open to change

the tits and ass threads were basically a misunderstanding on my part which has come back to bite me on the ass (no pun intended) because now people have had something it's going to annoy them more not having it more than if they'd never had it at all. they were never allowed but the old rules weren't particularly clear

as for it "smelling funny" i don't really know what you're getting at. it's not like this is some massive conspiracy to wipe the existence of tits and ass off the face of the earth

nah im not implying that its some conspiracy i just think its dumb it didnt happen a long time ago. you were mod back when the tits thread was at like 5 pages. you coulda changed the rules then.. dunno why it happened when the thread reached like 30+ pages.. just doesnt make sense. i just dont like censorship. even as much as i absolutely, fanatically oppose racism, i still think the ability to say ANYthing is within a human's right.

a girl with a bikini on is NSFW. a photoshopped 1200x1600 jpg of a hairy dog, can also be NSFW, as some co worker seeing it casually on a screen at work wouldn't understand wtf it was.

when we didn't have NSFW tagged on this forum, we got complaints by people who were at work, saying they didn't get warned first. damned if you do, damed if you don't. contrary to what you think, there are people that discover this "sign in" only subforum for the 1st time, and to prepare them for nearly any random crap jpg's being posted in threads here, we put NSFW on the whole forum.

as far as tits, ass and everything else pornographic, we're blocking it for the primary reason that parental filtering is incredibly smart these days. so smart that, 95% of the tits & ass pics, and porn related url's that people use to "img" tag and post on this site, have been already flagged by google and yahoo servers as "21 and over" or questionable. google analytics is so sophisticated now that if you pass over a threshold of pornographic content on your site, they will bury your site in their search results. we don't want that.

we have a huge age range of people now. anywhere from 14 on up, and we don't want people not being able to access this site by being filtered out with parental control, because a few hotheaded/sexually frustrated members cannot live unless they see tits and ass on dsf.

At the end of the day, it's dubay's site and he can enforce whatever rules he wants. If you do like it either become a full-time, attention seeking whore/troll like bass hertz or find another forum where you can look at all the genitalia you want

Personally i think the dubstep scene isnt meant for children really, even if they are into it and under 18 (such as myself). If your going a a forum for a bass heavy predominately underground music scene; full of crazy, drug-taking young adults then you have to expect to see some stuff that isnt meant for a 14 year old...

But i'm not in charge so hey-ho.

Also non porn images linked from 21+ sites, much like 90% of the memes posted on this forum are rated the same.

i don't think anyone really cares.... no ones really crying over censorship... think the majority of us are just making jokes and enjoying seeing how serious the mods are getting.

I don't understand the obsession with Google ratings to be honest. This is the predominant dubstep forum worldwide, and that's almost certainly never going to change. No matter how much porn gets posted, if someone searches 'dubstep forum' this is always gonna be their likely outcome.

i do know. thanks. google use "real time" analytics to classify whole websites. so by virtue of the traffic we have now on dsf, we're trying to lessen our shithouse rating with google, not increase it.

LOL sod the kiddies that are starting to visit... Dubstep is party music (a lifestyle from 18+!), not against censorship, but slightly 'against' the idea of the site being moulded to appeal to target audiences I don't wanna rub shoulders with... Probably don't get what I'm saying, but is just the fun world I associate with dubstep, and it ain't really pliable. This place was cool, nattering about stuff that other dubstep fans noteable had interests in... Such as farts, birds and drugs... Just the pleasantries of (strange) converging interests...

Also chicken LOL tikka at the idea of crying that dubstep is getting mainstream and ruined then effectively helping plate and spoon feed it to some turd little minature humans
