Re: Strange door policies
On our way out of the club. We were outside when he told us (dorman standing next to entrance. Standing OUTSIDE, that is). Hope that was helpfull...felixGash wrote:Well you were either inside, or out. Which was it? Because if it's the former then you should appreciate that sometimes what might seem a silly thing like asking you to remove your hat, might have a serious reason behind it. If your brother turned around and stabbed some dude on his way out, then with his hat off there'd be more chance of identifying him when it came to prosecution. You only need a single frame's worth of cctv really, don't you.Ovesen wrote:.. We were more or less outside when he told us...
Just thought it might have made more sense, had he told him on his way in...
For some reason, the thought of my geeky brother stabbing someone is quite funny (not that I would imply that violence is funny. Not even in the cartoons. EVIL stuff....)
most clubs in geneva, if you don't pull up in a merc, you dont get in. and if you do by chance get in, and you don't spend, you get kicked out. i really hate the clubs here.
and we're slowly running out of alternative clubs coz they're all getting shut down by geneva's attorney general (and coincidentaly head of police) Zappelli, all around fascist twat.

Fair enough. They've probably no right if you were on the street, being that it's a public space and what not, but maybe a certain number of metres from the venue is still legally their responsibility..?Ovesen wrote:On our way out of the club. To be honest, if you're rocking bubbles in 2008 you deserve to be kneecapped.
And who's wear them OUT too? Nice, casual, NOTSOINYERFACE pair of shoes/trainers would do. Making an effort doesn't hurt anybody.
TRUST if i wear a pair of bubbles out its because i looked high & low for them & they are 2 hexclussse..i dont dress like a wassman

walking by Plasma...(the now defunct Simon's in Gainesville that helped to start the rave movement in the early 90s...OG heads will know whats up)...it is now a ghetto mainstream hiphop club on most nights...I was told that i could skip the 10 person line and go straight in if i got 2 people to stand in line in my place. in effect they are building a big line outside of the club but with almost no one inside. i just laughed since i got in the same building 15 years before with a membership card but i had never heard of such a policy. you make us look popular & you can come and listen to crappy music and overpay for drinks.
personal favorite policy so far is for a dnb house party i had in '01...every guest must bring a top shelf bottle or not be allowed in the door. The bottles were given to the host and 3 bartenders served open bar till dawn. the house was destroyed. good times.
