Bare in mind that i'd rather sound like a cat being raped by a horse than sound like Skrillex...
I thought that was what his music did sound like?

Fair. Anything to please a crowd.

Im just saying Ill criticize anyone for that stutter cut no mix stuff, famous, not famous, Im a dj n I can, same as any producer under the sun can have a laugh at one of my tunes if they think they can do better.

But, all technical skills aside, cause Im not here to judge those when Im already biased...

I was just saying.... Can we all agree this is nothing like dubstep anymore?
The problem is Dubstep was the birth of a genre that was far bigger than it thought it was, and people are so frightened to split the genre because "GENRES SUCK OMG!!!"

It's like trance in the early 90s and even late 80s - it's not the trance you hear today, but if you go read some - you'll find that the original trance now has it's own name, as do the 1000s of splinter genres that were born because of it.

I certainly can't say I enjoy Skrillex's stuff... but as mentioned previously - it was clearly a good vibe with a large amount of people having a great time. Good on 'em.

Now back on topic... I think the video is average. Not because of the sound but because the author really isn't showing what he's doing (good to hear the sound as he's going). He doesn't even know what he's talking about - like when he's trying to explain the waveform he's using for the 1st oscillator... *facepalm*. Good on him for sharing but he needs to educate himself a little more.

For those who dont know Oli Sykes and his band is the MT EDEN of metal. The song played in the video is a remix by Tek One who are only famous for doing that song.Skrillex looks like the marilyn manson of "Enter genre here"

The only time I've ever seen Manson speak is on Bowling for Columbine and even then he sounded like a good guy...

Whats even worse is all the scene kids wearing the BROSTEP and DEATHSTEP shirts (The run dmc ones). Kinda funny actually lol. I do agree though that most american's views on dubstep are those of SKRILLEX, OMG DATSIK, DOCTAR PP, and MT EDEN OMGGGGG. Seriously.
