Dubstep is pretty much all the same bpm. Roughly 140. It is not the speed that is the problem it is the fact you dont understand bass weight. You want youre music to be the sort of music you can play on a laptop or through shitty speakers. The fact is quite a large amount of the kind of dubstep you are talking about has less bass than tunes like qawaali, but this is sub bass. There used to be quite a few tunes that I ''didnt get'' until i heard them on a decent system. But once you..........do you understand.

Rather than saying these tunes are too slow etc just say you want to listen to hype tunes that will please a commercial audience........or people that just want to get off their nuts and mosh out!

ya realise tha thread title is about songs that have no substance & then ya use a true skool dubstep song as an example of that.

what did you expect to happen?? & because of you making that comparison... aint nia nada nobody guna help ya!

you're supposed to be a dj, it's your job to know the music, use your head & check out some threads on here that mention top 10 tunes of 2010 & such!

but then again... if I was you I would just give up, the only clue you could ever find is in a game of cludo!!

Still, clueless.

Why do people have this retarded view that dubstep is just about filthy drops?

Why bring up the holocaust to help prove a point?

It is how it leaked into America,
We aren't given much options here, its very unfortunate because people are missing out on a larger picture of how amazing and versatile the whole genre is

come on mate, thats no excuse.

most people have the internet these days, but then again, i guess the original poster is a great example of what you guys get exposed to, and how NOT to go about expanding your musical horizons.

Sounds like you want tracks that use Massive, rather than are massive.

I agree it's not an excuse, but your logic was not fully contrived here,
first off we are talking about a majority, which mostly is lazy or does not understand exploring underground or new things (very typical here, in a land of top 40)
Secondly in America when searching for dubstep you are unfortunately supported by a more one sided, previously mentioned type of dubstep (I assume you know what I am talking about via : youtube.com so on)

OP, you need to research the origins of dubstep a bit more before you start claiming tunes have no substance. I completely understand your mind state when talking about your track selection. Not everybody wants to beat match minimal tunes. I know so many people who will only mix tracks until the drop, then take out the other. What you are looking for is tracks with a rigid structure with intro/drop simplicity and massive basslines.

Here are some suggestions for tracks like this that I keep in my bag.

To be honest I have found that its the skill of the Dj that determines how huge a tune is. I have seen opening DJs drop Flux Pavillion tracks to absolutely no effect, and yet you drop this in the right way and people will lose their shit. Its not the heaviness of the bassline. Its the way its mixed that determines if a crowd will go off their nut or not. Thats my opinion, and I prefer to think of DJing that way as it keeps you searching for new blends all the time.

LOL You lot are pathetic ya know that! The boy has a point but the elitist form a group yet again! Its very sad to see if I'm honest, are you that worried about what one person likes?! Bullied at school lol!

You do realise there was another chap who only wanted his own way in life... I believe he was called Hitler...

P.S. Its a big tune, massive in fact BUT if you guys think this is "Classic" Dubstep then some of you "heads that know" really don't! This tune came out looooong after some "classic" dubstep tracks, 2006! lol Hmm you seem to be missing 6-7 years of other "classic" dubstep tunes! Call yourself elitist?! Nice work guys lol!

Also while I'm having a rant... That Coki tune is hosted on a channel called filth something haha Just to rub it in!

OP is an obvious troll, or he only listens to dubstep through shitty computer speakers. Either way, I'm laughing.
