When I first started mixing it was great because it gave me a starting point when trying to figure out what songs to mix when in a jam. I got tired of labeling tracks so I stopped. I now just recklessly mix in my room to find what sounds right, practice makes perfect :6:

exactly nothing wrong with playing records to yourself, kids these days want an easy fix for everything
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

i've got mixed in key and have used it for a while. i think it really takes the heart of mixing. It's good, it works and some mixes can come out great, but it's a bit stupid to primarily arrange your songs/ your mixes in order of key. i think it was a program which was made at the beginning specifically for house djs and i think that still rings q true.

A lot of house and even trance songs start off with like 8 or 16 bars of just drums, nothing melodic so they don't have to bother worrying about key clashes, at least from what I'm seeing. I think at this point it's way more useful for D&B and Dubstep DJs.
