cum on g sort it out. i dont think most of you kno like the basic way they do stuff in pro studios

u send all ur drums to a bus with the dual compressors u got to kno how to set them up* followed by a smily eq then use a send for ur verb this is how all them producers are doing their drums they just dont want u to kno
Even if this were true, we've all got pretty individual ways of doing things, the same can be said for big name producers, getting time in a real studio doesn't change how you work, supposed trends in production gleaned from random people who can't even structure a sentence properly, shouldn't either.

I'll reach for a transparent compressor first to emphasize transients/lighten the workload, but use one with a bit of character second... I'm liking the UAD Fairchild for the latter
all my advice is legit ive worked with pros in comercial studios. got a lp coming out in september to.
i use rough rider for the second one cause i aint got a uad

there are some great suggestions here, however, after reading throughout the whole thread and others, it leads me to believe that a. either public education system on grammar and b. spelling has gone to shit and etiquette is just a word with no meaning. Half of the posts i see these days sounds like a freakn 10 yr old , why don't people use correct and grammar and spelling anymore,it's so much easier to read!??????? not to mention how many are OFF TOPIC! oh but it takes a little more work to spell correctly,,,, to bad this is our fucking future.

EQ then compress..

Easy man, I mean he's worked with top producers in top studios, knows all the secrets, he says.

I, personally, am shaking in my sneakers.
