Everyone chill the fuck out and stop trying to label everything. Some people like stuff and others don't.
Exactly man. This is all I was saying. People have opinions on wut's wut, and wut sounds good and wut doesn't. But then I get hashed on here for having one? Callin me a troll and saying I fail? There are plenty of people who would argue ramadan isn't good dub, and people who hate skrillex too. But what yall don't know is that I like skream, Benga, kode 9, but I also like the new guys, Datsik, Excision, Bassnectar, etc. A lot of people so far have showed me they are closed minded on this topic so they rip on me for it just because I was trying to start a simple topic thread to get people talking. But then you fuckers try to put me down. I've only been here for a few days but this forum seems like a bunch of hate to me. No community love goin on here... :i:

People aren't labelling this a fail thread for your taste in music, but simply because the track in that video isn't dubstep. Not quite sure how you haven't seen that yet - unless you genuinely are trolling...

I think the main thing being overlooked is that Mortal Kombat is a fail franchise in 2011 and played a massive part in bankrupting Midway Games.

That said in the event a dubstep song was used in a Mortal Kombat commercial it would be not reason to celebrate nor would it be a sign of taking over the world.

In terms of taking over the world, dubstep getting plugged in that britney song was pretty much like the third reich marching into poland

Just because it wobbles, doesn't mean it's dubstep. That's not a bad thing:

See? It wobbles, it's good, but it's NOT DUBSTEP

Ha! THIS. It amazes me the number of people who do this without realizing that Dub and Electro are very established forms of music and are vastly different than Dubstep and Electro House. People need to learn their music history.

To the OP, sorry but that track isn't Dubstep. However, you could definitely argue that it has some Dubstep influence.

To the people saying Skrillex doesn't do Dubstep. Christ, are you serious? Maybe you don't like his sound, or how successful he's become, but he has some very legitimate Dubstep tracks. Denying that Dubstep tunes are not in fact, Dubstep, just makes people look elitist and smug.

Ahh, true true. I always thought electro was a dumb name for such a sound, but I suppose it was the first real taste of production-heavy music.

I love skrillex, but 80% of his tracks aren't dubstep.
