Why is it hopeless? You are only 21. David Guetta is still rocking the charts and hes 43. I don't think age really comes into it, yes everyone would have liked to have started earlier but its not a prerequisite for success. I think Untold broke through in his 30s and there a lot of other 'older' producers, especially in house. Its better to have more life experience anyway

26. started producing when i was 24. before that i was too busy getting drunk and partying to take music seriously. ah well.

turned 19 in january started producing from no prior knowledge when i was 18 february 2010
im at that point where i wanna progress way more

its not about how young you are, its about whether your music is good.
have to admit that most of the 13 year old kids are making shite music.

i'm sure there was a thread on DSF a year or two ago that was about this 5 year old kid who snuck into his dad's studio all the time to learn how to produce - made dubstep too. can't find the thread or any other evidence of him ever existing though

can anyone back me up on this? or am i talking balls?
