big up dmz - that night was large.

lookin at them photos i see a few faces i remember skankin out. somehow i managed to find myself attached to a bassbin for most of the time. lovin that system for keepin the trousers flappin but without leaving my ears ringin.

appleblim got it all rolling on the right vibe, a deep mix from benga, distance battled well against the technicals and came out winning, mala & loefah tag teamed to build the crowd only to knock em sideways and hatcha slayed the survivors. Unfortunately i'd pretty much burnt out my batteries by the tme anti-social took over the controls and althouh i could feel where they were heading, for me the only way i was heading was down the stairs and into the dawn.

thx out to all involved.

Oh yeah, what was the deal with the soundsystem? I kept convincing myself it was normal, but it was when loefahs remix of 50,000 watts dropped, those first 4 hits before the main drop just did nothing at all. At the second birthday im pretty sure I adopted the foetal position PRONTO.

well for all you people im sorry to have to say this but i think dmz could get in trouble for false advertising.. "come meditate on bass weight".. hmm

im a guy who dont smoke or drink and i got there from teh frist set larging up apple.. strictly there for the tunage.. and well when things you listen to dont sound rigth and you can pick up on those indescrepencies.. that smile you had waiting in the line .. that exciment you had as you rushed out the dorr quickly dissapears.. in fact you go from smiling to frowning.. i left around 3.40.. yeah i actually left... just couldnt get into things.. was too pissed of with hearing what everyone ws saying in the main room while trying to get my zone on.....

out to what ever the fuck was the problem as you fucked my night right!

out to everyone who made it down.. if it ws your first time i just let you know dmz is by no means anything like how it was last night.

yeah fair enough, the sound problems only really got to me during the distance set where it was really poor but during mystikz and the other sets it seemed a lot better if not quite as good as normal.

Yeh, 50000 watts definitely didnt have the impact in normally has. When the system started to play it seemed to me like it was only picking up about half the drum hits, especially during Distance's set. Bare peeps kept skanking throughout the shitty sound though, just shows how deep the vibes are at dmz

Whilst the sound was a bit varied, good to see so many heads in the place. That's what makes DMZ so special for me. Everyone on the same level.

sound was never THAT bad at redstar :0

was celebrating me birthday last night and enjoyed myself but couldnt really zone out properly as you said dunno what was going on with the sound but given the usually amazingness i was a bit gutted. saying that the people who turned up seemed really safe no dickhead types at all just a shame abou the sound distances set wouldve been sick if itd been normal standards. had to go flier at the end so wasnt able to catch all of anti social unfortunately sure it was heavy tho...

had to get up real early for arsenal chelsea so got to get to bed now :D
