Should I keep on going?
Did consider stuff like that Toasty track "predictable" at the time, or do you only consider it predictable now, almost 7 years later because a lot of people used that or a similar style afterwards?
Only now, since the present and the future is what I'm talking about.. Anyway, it doesn't really matter, just wanted to support my point, but feel free to disagree
Did you actually have a point?
Yep. That track had one (a single, uno) note for the entire duration of the drop.. If I want to listen to cool percussion I can call my drummer and play a bassline that consists of a single note over his beat. That would be so fucking "groovy", wouldn't it? REAL MUSIC right there

Unfortunately it does seem to be the way with some people on this forum that if you criticise their music, they have to have a dig at other types of music, rather than just accepting it I guess.

Look, dude, odds are there's ten times more people on youtube that will thrive off your mid-range pop remixes than you're arguing with in this forum. Your track, to some people, has some extraordinarily similar elements to a lot of other tracks that are getting posted these days, and by having a dig at a track that was, at the time, one of the most forward thinking pieces of music in the scene isn't going to swing people round to your way of thinking.
