I put my sub at F-3, and then they had that earthquake in Japan. At first I felt guilty, but now I'm like whatevs, it's just so LOOOOOOOW.

To get the "traditional rattle/vibration", pick any of the notes from between 30hz and 60hz. I like e, f, and g in that range.
Indeed some of you have your oscillator an octave high if you're talking about using E0. It's not even on this list:
