This is the fundamental student experience. You really learn to appreciate decent beer after you've been stuck drinking 80 cent beer for a few years. I'd say that's the critical thing that happens during uni. The rest, learning and stuff, all happens on the job, which unfortunately requires degrees and stuff.

this might sound funny to some but it sounds like Newcastle might be you thing, loads of posh stnuc with fixy bikes and hipsterish attitudes come to Newcastle to study. There is a gated off posh compound called Jesmond that keeps all us lowlifes out

No music scene though
what is of value and wisdom for one man seems nonsense to another.

come to notts. its cheap and cheerful. don't let people tell you its dangerous though, its not.

its got 2 uni's. 1 - the university of nottingham - is really good and quite difficult to get into. its more of an academic uni and is very highly regarded in things like law. the other one is nottingham trent - more of a creative arts uni. really good for arts and media.
