I enjoy Dubstep without drugs. As long as people who are monged out don't bother me, then whatever.

Yeah all of those of course, plus the people tend to have a garage/jungle/house background vs the metal/hardcore/electro house/drum and bass background most bros have.
Metal/Electro House background wtf
not sure where you're getting at but there are plenty metalheads into dubstep, plus all the people I know that go to electro parties are now posting "dubstep" image macros with lasers and dinosaurs saying "it's porn for your ears" and stupid shit like that on facebook, so I think it's safe to assume it's not Mala they're talking about.

I've been to loads of 'deep' nights with a few mates on 2c-b or mdma. Sub bass > Aggressiveness.

This this so much but it can only be done to a sub genre of Dubstep if you get me.

I think the fact you could get gripped and thrown out of a club for quietly bunning a zoot next to the stack adds to the effects but at the same times its horrible that you could get kicked out of a club whilst dickheads who are moshing and punching get to stay..

I dunno you know. I did LSD a few months back. 10 of us, 2 tabs each on a hilltop over night looking over the motorway with a 12 man tent as shelter. It was something else. It was soooo intense. We couldnt venture out of the field we werent able to. Seriously visually tripping for at least 12 hours it was mad.

The rain then came and we retreated inside the tent which i guess could be similar to a club in regards to not seeing lots of stuff (especially not as much as cars flying past on the motorway and vasts amount of landspace). I can imagine all the lights being immensely spectacular and I couldnt answer in terms of music because we had none really. I wanted some Zomby so bad to listen to but it wasnt to be. The mental feeling of those 2 tabs were seriously affecting us all though. People going quiet and trying to ride it a bit and seeing where we went whilst others just talked through it.

It was all (well for most of us) our first time doing the stuff so i think we were a bit paranoid in terms of seeing our mates going wierd and losing themselves or something. I never felt lost but i seriously wanted to just sit back at times and be quiet and just see what happened.

Inside the tent visuals wernt really there but everytime we looked outside it was still beyond what i expected. In the midst of all the tripping and rain though all 10 of us collectively saw lightening around the peak of our trips. A truly spectacular moment.

Sorry for my two cents on my acid trip but basically i dont think i could handle that experience in a club.

Basically this...2c-i or 2c-b if you want to have a crazy fun time in a club, acid is for trees and spirits :w:

I was just at a festival and when on MDx I really wasn't into the brostep at all. As long as I can dance to it, I wont have a problem rolling to it, but I still prefer the deeper stuff without a doubt.

Now when I was tripping on acid, I saw 12th Planet, and I never once cared about the shitty music. I was way too busy seeing crazy shit in all the colored lights on stage and the heavy wobble bass did actually sound pretty cool while tripping.

i do actually reckon the rise of mephedrone and popularity of dubstep in the UK mainstream share a certain link, not necessarily a completely simple drugs = popular dance music, but still... a lot of young people started experiencing this party drug a lot more (and a lot of people who wouldnt normally necessarily be into drugs), they hear the dubstep that is on the fringe of mainstream popularity, at clubs or whatever, or friday night radio 1, they realise its great music to shockout to. Whenever you first discover a drug, you tend to have some sort of emotional connection with the music/experiences you had at the time, and so it turns into a bit of a feedback loop - more people doing drugs, discovering dance music (particularly dubstep), more djs at mainstream clubs notice this surge in popularity and start to play more dubstep, more people discover it, etc etc.

As i say, its not a direct link, but i can imagine that it helped.

I don't know about anyone else, but I used to take things just to stay awake. Also I agree that LSD has no place in a club situation, It is definitely a back to nature thing with friends.

Funny how people play drinking off like it's the chill, harmless thing to do-- when in actuality it's one of the most dangerous and damaging drugs. People are easily fooled by the legality and mainstream acceptance of things. Not to mention, a lot of drunks are fucking rude and obnoxious at shows. I used to prefer marijuana and mdma for shifts of perception, but have been sober this past year because I am on probation and get randomly tested. Hasn't been a bad thing, still love the music I always have and still dance my ass off at shows.
Passion. Patience. Persistence. Progression.

this is true. Got to go by the saying these days of "If it aint MD it aint for me".

I havent touched Mcat for a year until this weekend. My mates got a fair bit to shift at a festival so we all ended up taking it. I did about 4g on the first night and didnt feel one bit twisted but just horrifically wired with an intense cement mixer of a gurn. It was such a let down. It was one of those where I actually wanted to feel as good as how bad i looked.. wasnt the case and it was just a waste. So glad I got to sleep. Bunned 2 fat spliffs in my sleeping bag in my tent and just drifted off. THANK FUCK. Didnt touch it again all weekend and thats saying something really.. Especially when it was next to free.

I was gonna take some good pills (about 5 or something). Actual E's. I've had them recently in clubs (just the one each time) and it sent me on a level. All loved up, stomping about and talking to everyone. It was a good feeling. 2 probably would of sent me on a mad'n. Thats deffo what im gonna have if i go to another festival in the UK this year.

MDMA on its own is something else. Completely underestimated that shit first time i did it. I was at Joker in Leeds and came up to "Kingston Town by Alboroise" which the DJ just before Joker played. It was just when the volume was getting notched up for the main act so you could no longer really hear people talking but rather just throwing shapes. Was fucked that night :h:
