what that says to me, is an old granpa who cant keep up the times, so what??!! a variant of dubstep is now called post-dubstep, whats the big deal.... :roll:




p.s. im not discrediting his 'legend" status before i get a bunch of replies saying so... but its simple, either u roll with the times or u die with the times...get with it :Q:

Or you don't follow trends at each blow of the breeze..

It's a marketing term like dnb or nu reggae :mrgreen:

Yeah, it's almost become a slogan. But, you have to love the portmanteau of "Dub" and "2-Step" (assuming that's the precursor, kinda pulled that one out of thin air)

:cornlol: true dat, but let us not forget why people do it also, no serious artist wants to "bunched up along with other artists" lost in genre oblivion, its weird, but all decent artists are striving for their "own sound" - theres no reason for this other then complete egotistical wankery :cornlol: so by creating a "new" label, its a way of seperating urself from the crowd and distinguishing urself to ur audience, which is also important, thus u get this constant recycling of sounds and genre labels. So yes its marketing, but no its not all that sinister, sometimes its just the innocence of striving for ur own sound, that complicates the general genre picture.

also in regards to ur post, i think if u can follow dubstep, then its ironic and hypocritical that u cant follow post dubstep, to the extent that its almost laughable!
