i am about to write a essay on the movment of dubstep from a counter culture to subculuture or even possibly popular culture. i am having trouble finding any past writing on the genre in general though

Oh, I´m afraid there is no academic writing about dubstep apart from a few texts such as Steve Goodmans book "Sonic Warfare", but it always just refers to dubstep itself very shortly...however, what´s you approach exactly? I´m not ready yet, otherwise I could have helped you with some information...although I will first the thesis in german...
