The VIVEK album is a prospect that I'm so so excited for. I've feeling we should be expecting it later rather than sooner, though.

I'd like to believe i'm wrong of course!

I don't even consider half of VIVEKS tunes to be dungeon.

Asteroids is the fuckin' one! So spacial, vibrations all over the place.

Not too big on Kismet, it is good but it always sounded like Diablo to me.

Agreed. VIVEK is way beyond the derivative "dungeon" sound that so many new producers are repping.

truly brilliant producer with his own unique sound.

Exactly. You can tell a VIVEK tune from a mile off. He's just so many shades deeper than everyone else.

Don't know how Asteroids is getting released though. Could be seperate 12" release or could be on his album.
And as far as I know we know nothing about any other tunes, right? Only thing we know is that Asteroids is getting a release sometime in the future and Kismet may not... (although I think it will)

Really really hoping for an album. Not gonna lie, I'll be more than a tad disappointed if it's all dungeon. More tunes like Spread Love please :)
If this is the future, it seems highly livable: shiny, cool and comfortably dissonant. Like a low dose of ketamine in an empty, luminous airport hall in northern Japan, eating avocado and waiting for the universe to arrive.

i can't think of any vivek tune i'd describe as "dungeon" and i can't really understand how people come up with that.

depends what you consider to be dungeon tbh, it's not like a defined subgenre. i wouldn't say that most of his tunes are dungeon really, but asteroids just passes through my mind all the time, really want it to be out but imagine that he's probably not gonna be putting anything out until the album, i mean we did get 2 singles and an EP in 2011

asteroids is pretty dungeon to me, with those echoing snares and with that rasping effect that appears in every 10-15 secs.. amazing. to me.

for me all of his tunes have a certain depths that most of the "dungeon" tunes are lacking (i would even say they have a spiritual vibe to them). and while most of the "dungeon" sound is pretty cold and technical, his sound is kinda organic, imo. i would rather call it "medi" than anythign else. didn't want to start a debate about the definition of dungeon though and i think we all agree that vivek has a distinct sound that stands out from the rest.

Do elaborate.

You lot are dull. Call it a tune by VIVEK.
"At our dance, no one's watching anyone really. They're just there in their own space having a good time... It's not like an old rave where everyone wants to come and hug you and be your friend. There's no moodiness. Not in our dance... It's just purely sound."
